Anyone else liking the new 2017 Jaguar F-PACE?

People notice those trucks on the road because they're big, but percentage wise they're a small fraction of all cars on the road. 50K, which is median US income is definitely not your average joe territory. IIRC a buddy of mine got a used 2014 Silverado in 2015, only a year old at that point with less than 20K miles for mid 20's. He let someone else eat the depreciation and got himself a nice truck for cheap. I think this happens a lot to luxury/expensive vehicles. A certain contingent of population buys them new and dumps them when they get bored because they have money to do so. From my admittedly limited experience the people who buy expensive cars don't keep them for more than 3-5 years. Heck, look at richardycc post just above, his wife has perfectly good '12 RDX now and she wants a new RDX/MB/F-Pace already. I mean good for them if they can afford it, but average Joe Schmoes don't buy these cars new.

Prices reflect the cheapest entry in the line. I just configured an XLT to 45k just by putting an ecoboost motor, 4x4, and infotainment package on it. Moving to Lariat, King Ranch, or Platinum gets you there with only 1 or 2 options (or less)

It's good to keep in mind average joe affordability and average joe spending aren't the same. Americans tend to over extend themselves on vehicle purchases.
