You really need a decent sound system to get the full effect.

Missing it in the theater was a mistake, but if you have a 5.1 audio system you're in for a treat.

I've seen it and wish I hadn't. Waste of $5.00 at the matinee showing when it first came out.

One of the most overhyped (and praised by computer geeks) movie in the last 4-5 years IMHO.

Extremely imaginative, fantastic special effects, amazing scenes (dojo especially). Keanu wasn't half bad, Laurence Fishburne kicked ass, and Carrie-Ann looked unbelieveable One of the best sci-fi action movies ever.

This reminds me, I need to see Two Towers tonite! I actually have TIME!

Having TIME on weekends is crazy! Like last night I just sat in front of the TV from 3am to 11:30am watching cricket...it felt so sinful and liberating/luxurious to waste all that TIME! I'm gonna have to enjoy this while I can...

well it's obvious why it is praised by so many computer geeks, NFS4, but do keep in mind it revolutionized action/special effect scenes. I think it set a new standard altogether. Think of how many other movies have similar special effects. I do agree that it isn't the best movie ever as some of these other people say, but I know I'm anxious for the sequels.

I thought just like you the first time I saw it. Then I saw it again, and I realized how much more you learn. It's an excellent movie, realy makes you think, today, right here and right now if we really are in a real matrix.

I loved that scene where the Agent surmises up Neo and concludes he is a virus.



BTW, I think Trinity is sooooo sexy!

The Matrix is a great movie on many levels. The special effects were pretty revolutionary IMO, they did a lot of original stuff that hadn't been done before. The costume and set design was top notch. It also deals with an interesting concept that has been explored in sci-fi before but brings it to the mainstream. It also has some philosophical overtures...there's even some books on the subject. 1 2

Are sure? Your probably right. I need to see it again anyways. I'm sure there are a few things I might have missed.
Plus watching Trinity again will be a pleasure.
