Anyone else not care about their shoes?

I wear boat shoes, combat boots, and sandals. If the appropriate criteria is filled, I'm happy. I care about the quality, and country of origin(country of origin reflects quality), not style.

I recently walked the Camino de Santiago and now im all about proper fitting shoes. I went to the new balance store since returning and bought old man shoes for walking in. I even dropped $300 on a custom orthotic through a local store.
Once my collection of Nikes & Adidas wear out I probably wont replace them with the same brand.

I've been mainly wearing flip flops that I bought in Thailand for about $5? I'm wearing old Nike Frees from about 3yrs ago. They are a bit worn but they are okay. I have another pair of newer Nike Frees that I sometimes wear.

I don't care too much about my shoes as long as they are comfy and not too pricey.

I care more about my weightlifting shoes. I have 3 pairs of Romaleos, (07 white pre predocution, 08 08 08 light grey rare ones, 2014 White with a red tick that replaces my 07 due to them wearing at the heel), 04 AdiStars and 99 Power Perfects. I think that's over £500 worth of shoes? I didn't pay retail on any of the Nikes though. AdiStars cost about £120 or £140?

I wear shoes every day. 5 days a week, I am in dress shoes at work. I prefer them to not only be comfortable and of high quality, but look nice as well. Chuck Taylors are a good alternative to Oly shoes, I've found, but they just aren't good daily drivers. When it comes to sneakers, I go with the best sneaker ever made: Jordan 11s, although, in the summer I'll go with the 11 lows.

I do not get guys who act like girls about shoes. I stick with New Balance and Asics, basic styles and am cheap as hell about them as well. The past several pairs I have had have been bought off ebay used. I have a search saved than has my specifics

I wear sandals 9 or more months a year, even in light snow. No socks. I wear shoes for running, hiking off trail, shoveling snow, and funerals.

When one says "act like a girl" does one mean buy shoes that have value other than the basic of covering your feet? Some men like to have shoes that look good. I understand this is a foreign concept to most on ATOT.

I have far more than 10 pairs. It is a hobby to collect shoes. I enjoy having multiple choices of multiple colors of even the same pair.

And, in the event I ever decide to sell some of my collection, the return on investment is much higher than I've paid.

There are cheaper knock-offs, but Converse shoes are ~$50 for the low-cut canvas versions. Cheapest "brand name" shoes I can find.

I used to not care, but started to. My main pair is a set of red Converse shoes. Total attention whore shoes and I love them. Too bad the rubber smell never goes away.

For a couple years, I wore sandals year round, even to pick up my kids from daycare in the middle of 15F winter. I'm home otherwise so why bother? I have had the same pair for years. I think 7 was my high - I even dedicated a FB post to it when they finally tore. I just recently bought some new $45 Nike shoes and they are known to last forever because they do for my kids and that's a true test. I will likely have these for 5+ years now.
