Anyone else read Stephen King's "Dreamcatcher"?

OMG there's a movie for the book Watchers!?!?!?!?! OMG hi2u I'm at the part in the book right after the Outsider attacks him, einstein and nora at his house and have just left in the attorney's dead wife's car I have read that book all day

I read it, and I don't want to see the movie. I love Stephen King's books, but the movies always turn out sorta lame... I don't know why. I loved The Talisman, I would NEVER ever ever ever watch a movie version of it, it would completely ruin it for me

Trust me on this one. You do NOT wanna see the movie.

Since it is one of my favorite Koontz books, I was STOKED when I heard they were making a movie "based" on it.
Though many movies don't go justice to the book, to say that about THIS movie would be an understatment.
This was one of the few movies that actually PISSED ME OFF. They changed it ALL around, added a KID that wasn't in the book (to attract the younger crowd) and didn't deal at ALL with the parts that made it one of my favorites. It actually subtracted from my enjoyment of the book in as much as NOW when I try recalling the story line, it gets all mixed up with the crappy movie.

DON'T rent it!

I don't know if you read "Cujo" or not and or watched the movie, but as badly as they slaughtered THAT film, it should get a OSCAR compaired to "Watchers"

Yeah Dreamcathcer was awsome. Im very curious to see how the movie turns out considering it has alot of mind reading and mind lanscapes type things. Will probably confuse people who didnt read the book unless they set it up very well. I for one cant wait.

Oh and if anyone likes Dean Koontz, I highly recommend Phantoms. Its real fun. Also made a movie out of it with Ben Afleck a while back. Sucked bad though for the most part.

One of the few books I have read 3 times. Got to love Einstein.

If you think the first movie was bad you should check out the 2nd, 3rd, 4th, 5th cant remember how many. I think one of them actually goes fairly close to the book maybe the 3rd one.


BTW Robert McCammon has New book out after a 10 year break called Speaks the Nightbird. I figure most of you King/Koontz fans also read McCammon. If you don't start .

Fwiw, I really liked Tom Gordon. Not sure why... But it hooked me pretty hard.

Id have to agree that a book is better then a movie....theres something to be said about the way S.K. can get you into the heads of his characters...movies just cant grip you the way a book can..I personally like his older work better though...i like the dark and gritty books of his yesteryear...nothin like havin the shizzy scared out of ya KING style...hes a master....thinkin of IT is givin me goosebumps as i type.... hehehe

Ok, I started this book yesterday morning and I have just finished reading "Watchers", I love this book reminds me of another canine story of a seeing-eyed dog that is has implants that a blind person can plug into and help see bad a$$ book for any interested
