So they had the new video of "Freak on a Leash" on last night after the show my wife was watching, so I stayed up with her so I could see the video What a waste of time that ended up being. That was the worst damn thing my ears have ever heard, seriously. I used to really love Korns music (when I was younger and more angry), but I can't believe they put that crap on the air it was so horrible.

If you haven't heard it yet, for your ears sake aviod it like the plaque. This is especially true if you are a Korn fan.

I watched 2 minutes of it with my fiancee and immediately turned it off. Korn sounds good on the radio, but that's about it.

Korn made 1 good cd as far as im concerned. And the more they release the more they turn to garbage.

I don't think that means what you think it means.

What makes people want to sit down and watch MTV? I guess I don't watch TV in general, at all, but if I did, I sure as hell wouldn't be wasting time with MTV. Most of what I watch usually just includes comedy shows or the discovery/history channels.

it wasn't as bad as the people in this thread make it seem. I don't think acoustic is a good idea for Korn anyways, and certainly not good for Amy Lee

as a long-time fan of Korn... their music has gotten a lot less energetic in recent years, first 3 albums are the best.

On a related note, does anyone agree with me that Evanesence is some of the worst, overplayed horse*** on the planet?

Wow, at first I thought it sounded pretty nice. Not angry, but different.

Then it got to the "Something takes a part of me" part and the instrumentals try to "jam" or whatever and it just becomes disconcordant noise.

They released a new Freak on a Leash video? The original was quite good overall and if I remember correctly, it won an award. Also, for my take on the newer Korn albums, if you're a bit selective on which songs you listen to, they can still be decent. Although, Follow the Leader is probably their best album.

EDIT: Made a fix .

The first time I heard Korn's first CD back in my teenage angst days (early to mid 90's) it gave me Goosebumps. I'll still pull out my Korn concert T and sport it once in awhile on the weekends, but I've yet to be as impressed as I was back then by any album since. My fellow Korn fans and good friends all think I'm weird, but I'd actually say that I like Korn more than they do even though they like ALL of their work. I consider my friends sheep.

When Jonathan Davis broke down crying on the first album it sent chills down my spine. Good stuff, hard to replicate.

All of the "rebel artists" eventually go mainstream. Just look at Limp Bizkit... Three Dollar Bill Yall$ was actually a decent album, but the albums after that (Significant Other, etc.)... they may've had a catchy song or two, but nothing great. LB is an even more interesting example, because the music style even changed drastically from the first album to the later ones. The first album is more reminiscent of nu-metal where the newer albums are all "hard pop" and rap.

My thoughts EXACTLY...but at least Amy was looking and sounding damn good, as always!

You sound surprised. Korn hasn't done anything good in a long time. Korn, Life is Peachy, and Follow the Leader were good. Everything after that...

I agree. VERY GOOD first album. After that...crap.

I also agree with some of the others. The first KoRn album was amazing. I loved i, played it over and over and over. I had shirts, posters, drumsticks, signed tickets, etc. I saw them open for Ozzy in Denver on New Years eve 95/96. Amazing show, almost as good as Ozzy's (and WAY better than Life of Agony's)

They faded quickly, which was very sad. That first album would be in my top 10-15 of all time.
