I should have taken the fact that two power lines were down and my street was closed a block away as a sign to stay home. However, I had a meeting...and no one said it was canceled until they called when I hit 95. Thanks boss. At that point, it was pointless turning back

We got a good 8-10 inches here on the island. Worst part is the winds were much more tame this time around so the snow stuck to the cars.

weathermen have the easiest job in the world. you simply read computer predictions. if you are right, good. if you are wrong, who cares!

We've barely gotten anything in central PA this year. I'd say 10 inches total so far. The yearly average is around 50 inches I think. It's been bitter cold all winter for sure though.

It snows on Mauna Loa and Mauna Kea every winter.
Of course, that's about 10,000 feet elevation, and if Florida had any "hills" that tall, they'd have snow on them as well.

I can't believe how much snow has fallen already and it's only 1:00PM. It's supposed to snow all day and into the evening. I've shoveled my driveway twice and looks like I'll need to go back out again in an hour or so. I'm running out of room to put it.

We don't get shit for snow in VT anymore. It's coming down but we're only supposed to get 5-7". That's not worth even bothering to shovel.
