I want a bigger monitor. My 19" is not big enough. Basically, when I upgrade I want a flat panel, but they are very expensive to get just another 19". I was going through some sale papers and noticed that big screen TV's have gone down in price quite a bit lately. You can get a pretty nice one for less than $2500. My point here is this. I was thinking of getting one of these TV's (oh yea!) and hooking it up to my computer and using it as a monitor. Unfortunatly, I am remembering all those nay sayers from way back when who claim that you can't do this because it will cause the TV to meltdown and destroy my whole city leaving nothing but a smoking hole in the ground (and probably me, only to get arrested). Does anyone think this will actually happen? Have TV's matured enough over the past couple years for this to work w/o problems. I was thinking of getting an AIW Radeon 9700 Pro to go along with this because that has HDTV output that would work with my new TV (if I got it). But why would they have HDTV output if you can't hook it up to a TV? I would appreciate some help on this matter. Thanks.
