I can't remember the brand, but last year I took my Asus P2b that had a P2 350 running in it and with an adapter (name is on the tip of my tongue but I can't get it) - I've now got a Celeron 1000 running in this old bastard. For me it was an awesome and cheap upgrade. Who would have thought that a now 4+ year old board could be running at 1000 mhz!

That's great if you have a hand built system, but if you have a system using a proprietary case/powersupply and you'd need to upgrade those as well, this may be cheaper. I was considering one of these for an older Dell, but got a laptop instead.
