The Chinese version has its own Rom color os which blocks Google services through a firewall.

Nice I'm ordering mine tonite. I just got home. Hopefully I'll have it before I go on vacation so I can unlock the boot loader and root it.

Edit: Ordered my one plus last night. Got an email last night that it was processing to ship.

The need invite field is a selection drop down for yes or no. Otherwise it won't save properly.

Once I get my invites I will offer some to who need them if people in my android development group do not need them either.

Anyone know how long they took to ship and receive? I'm leaving on vacation August 15th. Hopefully it gets to me before I fly out.

If ordering on a Friday or the weekend, it probably won't ship until the following Tuesday or Wednesday. The one (pun) i ordered Friday morning EST didn't ship until the following Tuesday, but I received it on Thursday.

Thanks for the info. I ordered late last night pretty much Saturday already.

I hear they require signature now for the delivery. Might be a problem if I can't tell when it is scheduled to be delivered. I was planning on working from home that day so I can get it. Otherwise I'll miss the delivery and then I don't know what happens.

Yea well see I just saw a topic about it on the one plus forums. Does anyone have the yellow screen issue? There is a post on there too about it. Any remedy to it other than leaving it in the sunlight?

you won't even notice it for the most part unless you're specifically looking for it.

When they shipped mine, it shipped Tuesday night, got the notification Wednesday morning and showed up on Thursday. I was able to track it until early Thursday morning when it left the last large city before my town. At that point I knew I was getting it that day.

I'm theorizing the delay in the notification is they (OnePlus) being based in Hong Kong and being 12 hours ahead.

Anyone know if you are month to month now on a major carrier if you go to an Mvno and transfer your number over, does it cancel you previous contract or do you have to call and tell them you want to cancel ?

Have any of you tried the other Roms from the one plus forums? Seems like a collection is growing there. Hopefully mine ships this week and I can transfer my number. I could not wait for my contract to be over with Verizon a year ago. I only hung on to it for the unlimited data but now since it will be throttled I would rather have an unlocked phone I could use anywhere.

It's not as popular now that they announced on the news they will be throttling. It's basically just like any other plan throttling after 4.7gb. Plus it would be a pain and I want to keep my number.

I know a manager at metropcs in my area and he says the $60 unlimited 4g plan doesn't throttle at all.

I got tired of paying $90 bucks a month for one phone. At least with the one plus I can try different mvno carriers.

Its quite noticeable and apparent if you don't use the soft keys. But if you are using the capacitive keys you will see it quite a bit in Chrome or any white background app

I agree with this. I let mine sit in my car one morning for over 2 hours, and it's still there. I want to go to a nail shop next, as my car may have blocked the UV rays needed.

Windshields in modern cars block close to 100% of UV rays. Side/back windows are less, but depends on the car. If it's marketed as providing UV protection, all windows may be laminated.

I'd leave in a safe place that gets direct sunlight like a high windowsill.
