Anybody around metro Detroit? I thought I knew a while ago "nope, too big" but the phone is just so damn attractive (price-wise, spec-wise).

I want to just put one in my pocket and see if I can deal with how big the phone is.

It looks a bit sleeker than the note 3. Pretty much just as big. I've seen it only in videos. I just hope it fits in my pockets. It will in my work pants but I don't know about my jeans.

I had the droid DNA and that had a 5 inch 1080 screen. So this phone is just a bit bigger in terms of screen size and also seems almost just as thin.

Ugh, I know. Just tried a great site that has a "calibration" for your screen by sizing up a credit card so you know the phones are presented life size.

Mostly concerned about when I'm wearing jeans - I don't do skinny jeans but I do have fairly muscular legs so there isn't a lot of room left in my nicer pairs.

I rarely ever wear jeans except for a few hours after work. But today's style of jeans are ridiculous. I'm a skinny guy and I like to wear clothes that fit my body but these stupid skinny Jean styles are annoying. Not only that but it seems the pockets have gotten smaller or the fits have changed since I was in college.

Man I can't get over how huge of a deal people are complaining about the yellow tint on the one plus forums.

I hope I dont notice it because I'll be porting numbers over and selling my old phone. Don't want to get stuck without a cellphone.

Don't wear hippy style skinny jeans. The smallest I would go is the classic Levi's 501 which has pockets big enough for my Note 3. Still comfortable while sitting down with good posture.

Yea I certainly don't wear skinny jeans. I don't get how people find them comfortable at all. My work slacks have no issues, pockets are big enough.

I don't get why people call any jeans that are not regular fit skinny.

THESE are skinny jeans:

THESE are slim fit jeans that any respectable man in their 20s thru 40s should wear if they want to look up to date with the times and they're not obese

Not everyone wears dad jeans you know

Like I said, are you going to use the capacitive keys or soft keys. If latter, then don't worry. If former, its pretty noticeable.

It fits in my pants pockets. So far I've had it in Dockers, Levi 501s, Izod khakis, and chino shorts. I don't wear skinny jeans.

Hehe sometimes even the slim fit jeans are somewhat uncomfortable. Lol dad jeans Haha.

I've always used capacitative keys as all my phones have had them. There is a new build date as of 7/18 but I guess the issue is still there.

Guess I'll play around with it before putting it on a carrier first to see if it bothers me.

Oppo mentioned it's the screens they use so it's not a software issue, rather just different screens have different warming temps so they will look like that.

Why do you always argue by putting words in other's mouth? Who here said "any jeans that are not regular fit skinny"???

These are skinny jeans.

Because everytime someone brings up that its hard to fit a large phone in their pocket, someone inevitably brings up skinny jeans. Not that many guys actually wear skinny jeans. I'd be willing to bet more people wear slim and straight cut than skinny jeans.

I could even bet you that I go walk outside right now in the Mission District in San Francisco, and I find you more people wearing slim jeans than skinny jeans.

The point is its not the same thing, and slim fit jeans are a staple of male fashion (source: Reddit MFA) unless you're an obese guy.

The bottom line is even for your 501s, its easier to carry an iPhone in those than a OnePlus One. You don't have to wear skinny jeans to figure that one out.

Something similar to dlerium's 2nd pic and the 501s, yeah...considering that it was a noticeable change from an S2 to the G2, the OPO still has me worried. Like I said, not even close to a skinny fit (can't get those past my knees), but with a little more mass in my quads/hamstrings, a large phone can be difficult.

At least in any season that's not summer (in Michigan, at least), I can keep it in my jacket/coat.

Oh I see the whole point of your argument
I was curious why all the fuss about skinny jeans.

If I wore skinny jeans, I could make OnePlus work. But I wear short shorts John Stockton style for work.

Because you and others bring up skinny jeans like its an automatic assumption. If you can't admit that the OnePlus One is a more difficult device to put in your pocket than smaller devices, then you're drinking too much Kool Aid. If you haven't noticed already I'm an owner of the device and can't be happier, but to deny it isn't on the large side would be blind fanboism. I'm sure you're not a fanboy, and can see things objectively, right??

I wear Seven Slimmys, and the OPO fits fine in my pocket. Is it a bit harder if I'm sitting down to pull the device out? Yeah, but its not impossible. I'm not the skinniest guy either.

You can bet though its a big change going from an S2.

There you go again trying to vilify others for saying larger phones still fit inside jeans. We stated large phones still comfortably fit normal jeans, NOT skinny jeans. No need to throw a hissy fit over something so trivial...

Why does anyone have to "admit" that OPO is more difficult to put into pocket than smaller devices? Is anyone claiming otherwise? I think you and yourself are arguing each other.

I notice how much you put down all Android devices including OPO. I have lost count how many times you complained about the yellow band issue. iPhone is your absolute favorite. We all know that. Also, who denied the OPO isn't on the large side? So please, if you want to argue, at the very least, don't put words in someone else's mouth.

I looked at some YouTube videos earlier and there is a tek news guy doing reviews. His first review he gave it the highest review of any phone he has used so far but was so pissed about the yellow band.

He mentions taking it in to a nail salon and asked to use their UV light. Or storing it on your car dash for two hours. So five minutes in the salon or two hours in the car. He mentions that fixes it.

He then has another review where he opens a new one plus and this time the build date is 7/16 and he shows us setting it up and confirming no yellow band.

Looks like the newer build numbers have been cured longer it seems than the first few batches. Then on the forums there are those with 7/18 build dates and report a yellow band.

One user posted pics but I don't think you can tell at all from pics especially depends on the flash of the camera you are taking a pic with, etc. I didn't notice it really.

I was wondering if it was just a glue setting issue when I first read about it. Seems to be a common issue for devices that are rushed from assembly to the consumer. The iPad 2 was notorious for it when it was first released.
