On a bigger phone its easier to reach the power button if it were in the middle of the phone rather than up high, right like the Note 3 power button placement. Would make one handed operation easier.

The Note 3 still has it 3/4 way to the top. I'm looking at how a button would be in the middle right now for my Nexus 5, and if I pick it up, that would mean I'd have to get used to pressing the power button with my middle finger. Not impossible, but not natural granted that most people use their index finger.

Sony does that too.
BTW i do not know that site and even the comments on it say the size is not really a reliable source, so don't take it to "seriously".

True, it's a sketch and likely unreliable site too, so who knows, but I don't get Sony's reasoning either. Some things they did right like having a hardware shutter, but their large bezels and mysterious power button placement confuse me.

The only reason they use their index finger is because that's what they are used to. IPhone is on top so anything on the side would be foreign to them.

Power button placement does not matter at all as long as they include knock on/off screen tech. It's faster and easier than any button, no matter where it's positioned.

TOO GOOD TO BE TRUE!!!

LoL! But this is definitely good news. Even if it might lack OIS, this camera will likely be worlds better than the Nexus 5 camera.

Seems like no OIS but it'll do some software tricks for IS (maybe use the internal gyro sensors while using the 13MP to generate 8MP?)

Seems like a solid shooter. It's not mind-blowing but as part of an overall package, it's what I'd want.

Still need shots from independent testers. Also waiting for reviews of the actual user experience (how fast can it click, software interface, etc.).

They likely wouldn't advertise 13MP if it's actually 8MP. Shrug.

I'm also skeptical of the IS+ because there really isn't a replacement for hardware IS.

Ugh, I thought today was the day of the full reveal. I need to just forget about this thing until it actually releases, hate when they do little leaks until launch.

There's one more "leak/reveal" staged for March 19th. It may or may not be the full release, but we'll have to see. I'm prepping myself for the worse where it's just another "leak" like about accessories or something, and to wait for the final press release/reveal.

At the same time it's also timed with the OPPO Find 7 launch, and given the similarity of the two devices and that the OPO will be built by OPPO, it might as well be the actual launch.

March 19th update: StyleSwap Covers

Currently we can confirm that we will offer the following textures - Silk, Sandstone, Denim, Bamboo, and Kevlar.

To ensure the best look, feel, and level of protection, these covers will actually be made with their own respective materials (not silk or sandstone though). Are you someone that drops your phone often? Why not get a tough, rugged Kevlar back cover for protection and durability? Do you want the feel of something soft and natural? How about an eye-catching, elegant bamboo back cover? Want a nice texture that feels like it will never slip out of your fingers? The known grit and feel that denim offers may be what you’re looking for.

Today's reveal was a bit... underwhelming. However, given the OPPO Find 7's keynote, I think we got a good glimpse at what we're getting. There will undoubtedly be some differences such as a smaller body, etc, but the general hardware is quite similar and I'm satisfied.

My only complaint remains that the screen is likely too big for my tastes.

Using a Note 3 and once you go big you will not want to go back. A 5.5" screen in a body similar in size to the Nexus 5 should be awesome.

Not possible because a Nexus 5 body is too small (not wide enough).

With that said I get that some people will sacrifice ergonomics for beautiful screen. I did that with a 4.7" Nexus 4 and a 5" Nexus 5. I still pick up my GS2 once in a while for sleep monitoring and it feels great in my hand, and more ergonomic than a Nexus 5.

So at what point do people draw the line for big screen? Some people can go bigger than 5.5" clearly, but others I think are drawing that line at 5".

5" screen is a little much for me. At least it is on the GS4 Active that I have w/ a fairly minimal case. The GS3 was probably the best size for me and my thumbs. That's why I don't care for the GS5 being even bigger (if just by a tiny bit). Next time I want to upgrade I might have to look at different phones just from a comfort standpoint, which I haven't had to do before.

I know what your saying about the comfort. If I'm on my note 2 long enough I get sharp pain in the web of my hands because I have to hold the phone funny to be able to reach the top and bottom without moving the phone around.

Launch day announced: April 23, 2014

http://forums.oneplus.net/threads/oneplus-one-launch-day-04-23-2014.542/

They also switched the processor from the SD800 to SD801

You need to read that again:

We're almost ready to showcase our baby to the world. On April 23, the OnePlus One will be fully unveiled.

Not a word of that says anything about launch. We'll just finally know full dimensions and what it looks like... maybe even final price for different memory capacities.

Yeah I know what you mean. Comfort is important enough to me where I would go for a GS4 but not a Note 3, but to some they don't care and would rather have the bigger screen, but unfortunately there's nothing smaller than a GS4 yet just as awesome (not using GS5 yet because there is no next Note yet).

I wouldn't be surprised if several years down the road we start hearing about carpal tunnel with large phones and manufacturers start committing to mid size flagships.

I think were just too much in that "omg big screen = cool" phase until we recognize there are more priorities. For example, 2010-2013 were dominated by cries of more cores, more GHz, more RAM, but now the spec wars are shifting to battery life. The screen size war may shift too.
