They have so many issues requiring customer service that they have to slow down sales? Thank god I didn't use my invite... sounds like a lot of early adopter growing pains.

Most of those issues are due to the yellow banding on the screen. Completely random..some say they have it others say they don't. Then after a few days they say it appeared.

Their rma process is atrocious. 14 day refund policy but that's if you get a response in a week or two and it's not a canned one.

Thanks compman25, just placed my order
Took my name off the list.

I really hope mine doesn't have the yellow band issue, I had a nexus 7 with that and it was really bad. had to exchange it several times.

Here it is. Build date 7-24. Looks like I do have yellow.

Maybe it will go away. As I've been using it, seems less noticeable. Hope it goes away.

Doesn't look that strong does it?
Sorry to hear that.

Leave it outside for a few hours?

It's hard to capture in photos. It's very noticeable when reading articles or in hangouts where you have white background on text. I'm leaving it on the window sill right now.

People sell invites on ebay now, even though it's against the TOS.

Such a joke, Oppo is doing this on purpose by not mass producing like any normal phone maker would.

Nexus 6 can't come any sooner.

They aren't intentionally limiting supply, that would be really stupid on their part. They have limited capacity to build these phones, so instead of having a Nexus 4 situation where it goes out of stock on day 1 and randomly pops in and out of stock over the next several months, they used an invite system. I don't fault them for it, though I do think they should have just waited until they had more stock.

But I got my invite today so I'm happy.

Hope you get one with a build of 7-26. Those are reporting that there is no yellow with those models.

Is it really against ToS? Can they enforce that? I thought they don't care what you do with the invites. But honestly, its also against ToS to resell tickets or to scalp tickets, but I don't think we're gonna grab our pitchforks over the shady guys in front of stadiums.

I don't know if it's against OnePlus' terms, but I'm pretty sure the eBay terms have it covered by the same policy that says people shouldn't be selling Ultraviolet movie codes on eBay. You can't sell a coupon or coupon type thing if there isn't a physical entity to it for shipping.

Gonna go get mine for the car soon. Hopefully in a week the yellow will go away. If not, not sure what I'll do with it.

Thanks for the invite sgrinavi - just placed my order.

One thing I'm bummed is I didn't order the screen protector since I bought the Orzly one only to find later than the estimated delivery date is in Sept.

Will share invites myself when/if I get one.

Lots of kernel and audio commits coming in for today's nightly. Also they fixed the quick access ribbon icons getting distorted with the resizing introduced in 0803 nightly. Looking forward to a flash session tonight.

BTW, can users comment on this issue? https://jira.cyanogenmod.org/browse/BACON-55

This is the most troubling issue to me. I'm wiling to put up with the camera, but typing pisses me off sometimes.

I have to login to read that? I'm still trying to adjust to reading on the phone with the yellow on the bottom. It is really distracting.

To comment, yes, but the issue is right in the description:

When typing fast , no faster than withy nexus 5, the screen doesn't seem to be able to distinguish between 2 touches that are similar in time. The keyboard then thinks it is a swipe. So I turn off swiping and then it just misses out taps as it sees 2 so close together it just rejects one I am assuming. I'm not the only person with this issue .
Funny because the reporter experienced exactly what I experience. When I switch back to my N5, my typing accuracy goes through the roof. Its not due to the size of the phone I'm positive because I have the keys resized vertically to match the N5 setting.

The OPO just flat out misses keys. It would be a matter of getting used to if I was just mashing the wrong keys, but its skipping a lot of touches when I type fast.

Yea that is a grounding issue with the digitizer. Not sure if they can fix that with software but I heard they will have an ota that will address that.

Didn't a few people comment in here regarding automotive glass? it might be blocking most of the UV rays you need to cure the glue.

Yea that is true. I may have to go find a nail salon or something. Or I may try direct sunlight if that's possible.

Pinging the Anandtech crew here because most users here are generally smarter than the OPO forums which sound like Youtube/Yahoo comments:

The GPS issue I'm seeing is that when I exit the highway, the phone still thinks I'm on the highway, so it redirects me thinking I missed my exit. Then maybe as I get get to the end of the offramp to the local road, it then suddenly jumps to realize that I did indeed exit and proceeds to give me a left or right turn. Its quite frustrating because I was driving in LA (and I freaking hate LA highways), where I was supposed to get on the ramp for the I-10 for example. it thought I missed the exit and proceeded to redirect me, but I forgot whether I was supposed to take I-10 east or west at the split later down the offramp. It didn't alert me til last minute and I had to make a last minute maneuver.

I'll try to record this tonight if I can since I have some free time to drive around because my friend bailed on dinner plans with me.

Other than that the GPS lock time is phenomenal. The issues I saw with the N5 are not present here.

This happens on my m7 I think it's just a Google maps issue. Its always telling I missed an exit or turn, it's sometimes annoying.

And Yea the oneplus forum people are kind of dumb.

it might be google maps. mine worked flawlessly with Waze

Yeah if I had all the time in the world I'd try it out on my Nexus 5 and compare, but I find my N5 has GPS issues to begin with. If I'm sitting at an intersection sometimes my GPs will jump and it thinks I'm on the cross street instead. So a continue straight becomes "left turn" and it flips out for a second. But my N5's never missed an offramp or thinks I missed one.

Anyway, I'm about to leave work after I flash 08082014 nightly. I'll record my onramps moments.
