I have to login to read that? I'm still trying to adjust to reading on the phone with the yellow on the bottom. It is really distracting.
Never settle!

Ha ha, sorry for being a dick, but these guys really asked for it with that tagline. I hope beta testing their product is fun.

I can't tell weather it's gong away or what. Seems to be almost gone but if I load a page with text I still see the yellow down at the bottom. I'm just upset others got one without the yellow.

If mine did not have it I would have went to metro today and put it on a plan. Going to keep it for a few days and see what happens. I'll keep placing it in the sun.

Going on vacation next week so I can't even do the rma if I wanted to right now with how long they take to get back to you.

Aside from that the phone is a beast. No lag, super customizable, and I like the screen cast option. Headphones sound really nice. The speakers could use some more oomph but they are loud enough.

I would say almost perfect but with the yellowness I can not do that.

Only a 16gb n5? The specs are not quite the same are they? Was there a radio issue with them at one point?

I'm looking on Swappa and everyone asks about the yellow band. No one can sell them now basically. Probably better on eBay although they take out more fees.

I dont even know what I'm going to do with mine yet. I feel if I could get a replacement quickly I'll be fine but that's not happening anytime soon.

And what are the chances that the next one will also have the yellow issue.

You have had it for less than 24 hours now. Don't make harsh decisions because you found negativity on the internet:

http://www.cultofmac.com/192299/does-your-iphone-5-screen-seem-yellow-dont-worry-overmuch/

http://forum.xda-developers.com/nexus-4/general/screen-yellow-tint-warming-t1990276

http://forums.wpcentral.com/nokia-lumia-920/206737-warm-yellow-tint-screen.html

and it happens every year with some phone and later people laugh about it but the kicker is, they still fall for whatever the next flavor of Antennagate, display panic or connectivity issue may be.

There are masses of retards out there that rely on spoonfed info from sensationalist news they read on technoob clickbating sites. Trust me when I tell you, just because someone is posting about a relatively unknown phone doesn't mean they know what the (censored) they are talking about. Care to guess how many puberty entering bipeds have gotten their hands on their very first smartphone with the 1? Can't expect these (censored) tardosaurs to actually have any smartphone or life relevant knowledge. The rest of the tardpede is made up mostly of sad, whining individuals that have been nothing but a drain on society and finite resources. Pick a random mall and drive your car through it, you are bound to take dozens of them with you.

TL;DR Try exposing the phone to sunlight an hour a day.

I'm not making any harsh decisions I'm going to give it time. It's not that I went on oneplus forums, read about the issue, and got all worried and now I want a replacement. I ordered the phone before I knew how bad the yellow screen issue was.

I posted pictures of it here even though it may not be clearly visible in photos, it definitely is in person. Even if it does not go away I can't even return it since I'm leaving on vacation soon and I won't be available to do the RMA. Not to mention their customer support is pretty vague and slow.

The point is there should be no censorship over people who make a point about this. Means they knew about it and didn't think about it before releasing since they were going off the invite system, thinking they can control the whole situation.

Anyways I'm liking the phone but if this issue could be resolved I would be much happier.

You will be. I've seen it happen on my friend's iphone in the top left corner, the screen adhesive did not fully dry and I would bet that anyone using JDI's panels and is struggling to meet demand has this issue creep up.

It was not directed at you, TL;DR was the only thing for you to consider from that post, the rest is obviously me derailing into a rage post.

I wouldn't unless you have a secure way of getting another OPO. Coming from someone who owns a N5 and an OPO.

I'm ok waiting on the OPO. Still on the HTC M7 and i'm liking this phone a lot. I really wish the M7 had expandable storage. I'd be 100% satisfied with it if it had it.

Yea I think the m8 does have an sd card slot. But it is also heavier too. One thing I love about the m7 is the front speakers. May not use them a lot but they are great.

My OPO arrived yesterday, but my current phone uses a full sized SIM card and I can't find the Micro-SIM that I know is somewhere in my desk. I have a 10 hour work day, and then a work social function tonight, so it will have to wait until tomorrow.

Let me know if you have the dreaded yellow.

And the build date if possible.

Build date doesn't matter. It's random. If anything I have a later build date of 7-24 and I have yellow. Those with 7/16 or earlier sometimes don't have it.

Seems like also 7-26 dates don't have it.

Build date 7/11/14 and my yellow was VERY minimal or non-existent, I think my imagination made me see it when it's really not there. My wife and kids saw nothing when I asked them to evaluate the display (without telling them about the "issue").

I have a 7/26 build date and very very little yellow at the bottom. I never notice it until I come back to this thread and get reminded and purposely go hunting for it.

Guess you got lucky. Does it look dirty kind of if you pull up an article on white background and scroll through the text. Because on mine, when you do that it looks like it goes from dirty text to crisp white text as I scroll upwards.

Nope, crisp top to bottom. The only display issue is some minor light leakage on the very bottom of the screen. I've seen much worse on other screens (desktop/laptop/mobile) in the past.

Congrats you got a good one then. I'll check back on mine after work. Hopefully it will clear up. I did post pictures here a couple pages back but it may be hard to tell in pics vs in person. It's very apparent when I'm reading stuff with text on the screen.
