Is there an app that can stop charging the battery at say, 85%? I think my N4
spent too much time at ~5% and 100% levels of charges and accelerated it's degradation, 20 months in and it barely makes it through the day with frugal use, it was still good about 5 months ago.
Still trying to track down an invite myself. Craziness
did you put your name on the list in the OP
Lithium ion batteries already do this. At 100% they stop charging and your phone does not take any more juice once this is reached. It trickle charges but the display reads 100%. Try using tasker to see if it does anything.
Yeah, they prevent overcharging but having the battery at or near 100% isn't a good thing. Lithium based batteries punish you over time for going below 10% but ideally, a battery shouldn't sit near 100% either, ideal longevity is achieved keeping it in 30%-80% range.
Thanks, I'll look into tasker,
Diztronic TPU Case is beautiful! What case is everyone using? I usually go naked with phones, but this one is going to see some heavy duty in a few weeks.
I have a tiny ding on the back bottom corner of my phone - I have no idea where it came from. It's almost like a tiny bit of the finish came off.
I also have a tiny amount of yellow banding on the bottom of the phone - not enough at all to even notice 95% of the time. I left mine outdoors in the sun on my deck all day yesterday, it actually made it even less noticeable.
Did you try any of the "fixes" that people are saying work yet?I don't know how people say they have yellow banding and don't notice it. I guess mine must be pretty bad because it makes my screen look like a wet page out of an old book. My screen is not uniform white at all.

Sorry man, that does suck especially if you are very sensitive to the issue.I have done the sun, the uv lighting, Sun some more couple times.
Buddy's iphone took about 10 hours in the sun to get rid of yellowing, he did at least an hour a day. I hope it fixes the issue for everyone, RMA is always a PITA.
