I would be really surprised if JDI decides to start making 5.5" 1080p crap displays. At this point, the worst thing they can do is take all of this fantastic hardware and put a sub-par display on it. I really hope they don't skimp.
Looks good but I wonder about the feel and build quality. I'm assuming it's gsm only? Would someone from Verizon be able to use it? Unlocked boot loader and it could run more than cm, possible sense Roms too.
So slightly taller and thicker than the Note 3 if those measurements are accurate. Decently narrower but this is clearly phablet sized.

Yeah, it's huge. Was hoping for less top/bottom bezels but it has even MORE bottom bezel than the note 3.
Well I wasn't criticizing it, but obviously they're not breaking any new ground screen to body wise compared to LG and Samsung or delivering a 5.5" phone in a competitive 5" body size.
But a top of the line spec phablet for $400 is still going to be an insane deal - it feels like what a Nexus phablet would be exactly like.
Still - in hand feel, reliability, and all the little details big OEMs have to sweat still need to proven by a start-up.
Still in 2014 I haven't seen anything better than the G2 which you can get a used one for ~$300
