Hmm I actually don't think that looks very good. Most of the time seems to be spent on standby and I generally see <1% per hour drain on my Note 3. If it had more like 3.5-4 hours of on screen time, I'd say it looked good considering the relatively long uncharged time.

I run with high accuracy, GPS, wifi, bluetooth, and LTE on.

I'm still trying to get a sense of the battery life on the OPO since I just recently finished setting it up.

I went from a note 3 to a OPO and Note 3 never got the same amount of battery life the OPO did when used exactly the same way.
Also Note 3 has GPS tracking issues in Waze. What Android version are you on note 3 ?

I'm running Dynamic Kat 4.2 (based on the international NC2 4.4.2 base) on AT&T. Never had a problem with GPS on my phone (seems to be luck of the draw), though recently Google Maps has been crashing after a couple hours on navigation.

So after upgrading to 30O, I notice they added search in Settings. I was able to search and find 'Home', but I can't seem to find where it actually is in Settings. Also even using search to get to it, I can no longer go into the settings for the launcher to hide apps in the drawer and stuff. Is this intentional or a bug?

Yea that doesn't look too shabby at all. I think you may have gotten a lot more out of it with the high accuracy turned off
High accuracy isn't actually a big battery drainer. In fact, the ability to gather location from wifi and mobile data is a drainer because the phone is allowed to wake. The root cause is likely something with Play Services.

Investigation on XDA found that if you switch to Device Only, you actually get better battery because Play Services won't wake your GPS constantly, and instead just not constantly ping your location. So in that case, Google Now will completely fail, as will most other apps that periodically require your location.

Conclusion: Battery saving is a misnomer for typical use. It's only a battery saver if you have Maps or any GPS using apps open all the time.

You can't Rma it for yellow band at the bottom. I dont get why it worked for some and not others. I guess my unit is just shitty. I mean the UV and sun. It even got hot in the sun and nothing was changed. You have 14 days to ask for a refund. I'm glad I can return mine. Never had this issue with any other phone and should not have to settle with it now.

Going on a trip to the Dominican Republic and I want this phone with me. I'll probably be the only one in the island with one. :awe:

Don't feel like waiting for an RMA to arrive.

I'm going on a trip down south as well but taking the phone with me in its box so if they approve my rma while I'm there I can just mail it in. I'm not using it anyway. The yellow is too severe for me to not notice it. It's a shame because it's got everything I need in a cell phone but the screen is a deal breaker for sure.

Picked up my OPO after yoga, just took some pictures of the unboxing and cut down my SIM card (was getting by with an OG iPhone 3G!). micro SIM is in the OPO, here we go!

Received the phone with 11.0-XNPH22R...when I check for update, only 25R is available. Looks like I'll have to do what others have done and download 30 and side load it.

Anybody have a good link to that process?

Go to Android Police, they have the link and the procedure there. It's SUPER easy though. You don't need a custom recovery installed, I used the stock recovery and flashed the ROM from there. Perfection.

I was glad also.

BTW, I just ordered the Diztronic TPU case for my OPO. I wish my Orzly screen protector would hurry up and get here....

Whatever screen protectors I ordered from Amazon (thanks to suggestions in this thread) won't arrive until Monday so I'll be babying this thing until then.

Gotta say. The glass screen protector I got off eBay for around 7.50 works GREAT. Almost perfect size. Crystal clear. As smooth as the gorilla glass.

Combo that with diztronic case I got. Epic...... I'll have the perfect phone once I get this update and have a speaker phone I can actually hear.

I ordered my Orzly on Aug 6 and it got here on the 14th. Shipped via Royal Mail. Impressive. Just as fast as UPS across country basically.

Quick comparison with the Nillkin - the edges are definitely rounded.

Edit: I'm an idiot, but I still don't like this screen protector. Doesn't feel like glass, it makes swiping to type nearly impossible. Hopefully someone here can attest to a "real glass feel" on their protector and I'll buy one of those.

Do you mind telling me what your item was called or providing a link? Looks like I'm in the market still.

OKOKOKOKOK, I know some of you may really get pissed at me flip-flopping over this phone but I just got home and took the phone from my window sill. It's been in the sun for most of the day and guess what...?

There is very little yellow on my screen at all now. Or maybe not, I can't even tell for 100% sure. Who the hell would have thought that would work. Not only that, it's seemed to have sharpened the display quite a bit. I am *very* happy. All I can really see now is the backlight from the bottom of the phone once in a while when I have it at a weird angle and really look for it.

And here are a few more thoughts.
Cynanogenmod is buggy. Sometimes it's just laggy as hell, dunno why. The app draw seemingly decides to delay with the vibration occasionally.

Occasionally the keyboard freaks out and the swiping stops working randomly. It will swipe fine, but the words never come up. I'm switching the keyboard to the Google keyboard so it's not a big deal.

USB port seems flimsy? It's strong now, but I have a sneaky suspicion it might decide to crap out one day. It's the only thing I really hate about the phone. It just seems crappy with the cable that came with my Nexus 4. Haven't bothered to use the original cable yet. I threw it somewhere already.

The back is a fingerprint magnet on the Sandstone Black. My case should be here tomorrow. Cheap transparent case from Amazon. I actually like how those cheap hard plastic cases look on my devices.

64GB of space is a lot. I stuck my whole music video collection, every picture that I've taken this year and still have a crapton of space left for more.

I am VERY happy with this phone.
