Agreed, I'm sure he could. But this brings up a question I've had in my mind for a while now, why not just test the phone with all the bells and whistles ON the way you might normally use the phone and see how long it lasts in that fashion? I think that's far more telling than turning everything off and barely touching it.
I wish I had taken pics, but after the first week of usage and "conditioning" I did this with my OPO. Took it off the charger at 5AM and just hammered the phone all day long. Just before I put it back on the charger at 10:45PM it was down to about 15% (can't remember the exact percentage). And I used the hell out of the phone. Calls. YouTube. Hangouts messaging. Facebook Messenger. Facebook. GMail. Corporate email (Exchange). Podcasts (audio). MP3 playback (Poweramp). All day long. My configuration at the time was CM11S XNPH25R with Google Now Launcher and two active widgets (Podcast Republic and Poweramp). I think I may try this again soon to see if the battery life has changed significantly under XNPH30O.
They changed our work policies a few months ago, we are no longer allowed to use phones while at work and because of the timing, that screenshots includes 16 hours at work and another 10 sleeping and commuting, that's why that was a low usage scenario. Don't be deceived by it though, the phone was periodically pulling twitter and sport scores updates and constantly trying to connect to the network and like I said the coverage is terrible inside, max is 2 bars, more than half the time there is no reception at all.
The Diztronic case came in today. It fits perfectly, minor imperfection with the mic hole note quite centered around the mic on the back. It's soft, feels nice to touch. Dropping the phone in this case, it should be impossible for the screen to make contact with even surface. I had my Nexus in a similar case, dropped it a few times without damage, should be the same with this one, I should sell the official flip case.
