So finally got my phone up and running. I have to say I am loving it.
My Diztronic case yesterday as well. I am very fond of the case. It fits the phone perfect, is not bulky, lightweight, and has a good hand feel for the lack of a better term. It does make the phone a bit slick unlike the almost rubberized back that the OPO has.

When I first got it on it had a off coloration to the bottom third of the screen, but I spent a few hours working in the yard yesterday and it seems to have gone away. Now there is a very small, pencil thin, yellow line across the bottom when on a white screen. It is a little annoying but I'm okay with it.

Don't understand how everyone is cutting them so much slack. Imagine if this were the year's flagship from Samsung, Apple, HTC, or LG. The internet ragefest would be deafening.

Maybe because this phone is comparable to those flagship phones and literally half the price. I think that price purchased them some slack.

The Illumishield screen protector I got off Amazon to tide me over until the Orzly glass protector finally arrives is crap. It fits well and is clear, but it makes touch sensitivity horrible. I can't count the number of times it has registered something as a click when I've been scrolling down a page or not registered a touch. I bought it since it was cheap and would arrive quickly. I expected it would be OK for a week, but man it's infuriating to use.

The glass screen protector and the Diztronic case are supposed to be here early next week. I'll be glad to also replace the OPO clear case - it fits fine and is very slim, but it really gives 0 protection.

I've nothing to cut them slack over, and I purchased my phone without an invite from a fellow forum member. Completely NIB, not cherry picked in any way. Everyone who touches my device wants one, three coworkers and my spouse are all anticipating buying one.

I assume b/c of the price (which is great of course)? B/c from an absolute sense, it's not a better phone than the Note 3, slightly worse overall actually. Don't take it as criticism of the phone - I really do like it and am having fun playing around with CM, but it's not breaking any new ground from 10 months ago besides price.

It's all relative to the price. I'm not set heart and soul on the OPO, I'm lusting after an M8 or maybe an X+1 if it's really hot. But for the price the OPO I'm holding right now is effing amazing - the bang for the buck value is astronomical.

I do think it's better than the Note 3. Cheaper to buy new, less bloat, MUCH more internal storage (important for app installations), and nice built in options (change from hardware to software nav buttons, changes to status panel, quick toggle tiles, etc.) without having to root.

I do think it's nicer than the note 3 as well. (personally used both). I really wish it had a physical home button instead of a capacitive one. I kept on hitting it when hitting the space bar b/c i couldn't get used to it.

Well my opinion probably isn't applicable to the general consumer - I was running a debloated ROM with a bunch of options, and was running a bunch of tweaks via xposed. Doing this type of setup never bothered me - it was part of the fun. So I don't really see much improvement - either physically or in software. But the price for sure is killer and I'd happily recommend the phone to anyone.

I hope I do get used to the capacitive button too - I've done the same thing a bunch of times. I'm in the middle of typing and get kicked back to home.

I don't have enough runtime on the prior version to have an opinion, but folks seem to say this update has decreased battery life and that it'll be patched pretty soon. So some good, some bad.
I have no way of proving it to you all, but my informal testing (25R vs. 30O) I had similar battery life. My test method was similar but not lab quality: off the charger at 6am and back on at ~ 11pm. Usage pattern - hammer the phone all day long. Not egregious screen on time (say 5 to 6 hours) but I USED the phone. SMS. FB Messenger. FB. Twitter. GMail. Exchange email. Podcast Republic. Youtube (some). Just regular day to day use, not trying to prolong the battery unnaturally. Both scenarios had ~20% or so left at the end of the day, I'm satisfied.

I can't tell if battery life has been impacted going to 30O. I mean my battery life isn't great but that's because I work in an area with little to no T-Mobile coverage, It'll pop from nothing to Edge and back throughout the day.

Anyone feel the phone charges a bit slowly? I'm using the same charger I use for my Note 3 and work S4 (2A) and without actually being methodical about it, it feels like it charges noticeably slower than my Note 3.

I put it on for probably 45 minutes before I head out tonight and purely subjectively, it seemed like it should have gotten higher.

I was selling the opposite to a friend today. He wanted to know all he specifics and I think the phone charges very quickly, especially compared to the Xperia Z Ultra it replaced

With 30O (auto brightness, location settings are all on, Wifi on):

Battery life issues not found. Where I work I have basically no reception. Phone alternates between Edge and nothing from 7am-3pm, what I'm wondering is does this drain battery if you're connected to Wifi?

That looks kind of odd - what app are you using to have your screen on for 5+ hours but doesn't show up in your battery usage stats? I'd expect to see something like browser, video player, etc in your list to account for the on screen usage.

I spent a good deal of time just messing with settings. But today I used hangouts, gmail, Twitter, snapchat, play store, chrome, Netflix, Google Now, Baldur's Gate, Guardians of the Galaxy, Leo's Fortune, a couple other games to test if they worked. All were 20 minutes or less though. Plan on doing some testing with Netflix and Plex to see how much they drain.

Nearly identical usage scenario to mine, we also share poor reception at work, only difference is work now prohibits using the phone.

I'm not comfortable using work wifi since the IT guy has an odd vibe about him ( he creeped out a chick in HR, to his credit he did pick out the finest one) but if I were to use wifi, set the screen sleep timer down to 15 secs, reduce the frequency of how often my apps pull updates and kill a few location services, which are all mild setbacks, a 3rd day on a single charge becomes a possibility.

CM working hard to get things right with a new update coming soon...

https://forums.oneplus.net/threads/updates.89185/

Just a quick update on the power issue in 30O..

Two issues that ended up in the build were identified and fixed. They weren't affecting everyone and were subject to hardware variations and timing, but our engineers worked quickly to get them resolved. The first issue was a very low-level system bus problem, while the second was a problem with how the proximity sensor is used to prevent false unlocks from gestures and double taps. We pride ourselves in the performance and low power consumption of 11S, and after these fixes our lab tests show improved numbers vs. 25R! This will go out as a small hotfix as soon as it's approved. Additionally, we are preparing another update in parallel that brings a few new features, a beautified lock screen, audio enhancements, polish on the new features in 30O, and of course bug fixes.

Both of these new builds are in the final testing and approval phases. I can't give any ETA because we are subject to third parties, but you should see the power hotfix in the next couple of days with the bigger update right on it's heels.

To ensure this doesn't happen again, we are bulking up our automated test systems to cover more cases, more often. Being a startup is both a blessing and a curse- while we can move fast on issues and updates, we are still building our automation and infrastructure. We depend on your feedback to tell us what we're doing right, as well as wrong! Additionally, we are working hard to reduce the time between updates even further so that they are more manageable.

Hang in there for just a bit and that unkillable battery will make a triumphant return.

Left my phone on the charger last night. Didn't charge at all, instead it stood at 26%.

After a bit of troubleshooting I changed the charger to a 2A charger and the phone started charging normally.

WTF? It was charging perfectly on my Surface Pro USB port, and now it decided it needs more power? It's weird. If I connect it back to my Surface Pro, it charges normally again.

I have a bad feeling that I am going to get caught with a dead battery quite often. D:

That sounds really promising, I am eager to see those updates hit my device.

Sorry for the constant "is anyone else..." questions, but what do people think about the display response?

I finally got my Orzly glass protector and it is excellent - fit, quality, clarity, etc. However it hasn't solved my touch issues which I had attributed to the cheap protector I was previously using.

It's certainly much better, but I still get the following:

- when scrolling down webpages with a lot of links/content, the normal swipe to move the page down ends up activating a link maybe 10% of the time when I didn't want it to. On my old OPO protector it was more like 30%. On my Note 3, S4, and G2 with a glass protector, it's 0%.
- I notice hitting home/back capacitive buttons sometimes don't register. It's occured enough times for me to notice, though not to a level of being an issue, just an annoyance. Same thing - maybe 10% of the time vs 1% on my Note 3 and S4. This I could attributed to just getting used to the phone and not knowing the exact touch points.
- Occasionally the screen doesn't respond to the first touch but immediately responds to the second. Like the above it doesn't happen often enough to be a problem, just enough to annoy.
- Also on web pages, sometimes it reads a swipe as an expand - it may be linked to the above. This occurs the least often (maybe 3%) but I really felt it happened 0% on my Note 3.

So overall I'm having a few annoyances with the screen response which I've never had on my Note 3, S4, or G2.

Now that's what I'm talking about:

Worked yesterday at secondary location, more relaxed and phone usage is tolerated. The only compromise I made was reduce to screen sleep timer to 15 sec since I had a lot of quick checks and replies between browsing sessions. Browsed for at least a few hours, lots of texting, little more than half was on wifi, rest on LTE but much better coverage.
