Still no invites? I see people on ebay selling them. That's just awful.
Name is still on spreadsheet if anyone is in a giving mood today!
What is the spreadsheet to which everyone is referring?
I've got a pre-order all ready to go but I may or may not pull the trigger. We'll see.
I'm on the fence too. I can't justify spending $600-$700 on a smartphone as I'm not a particularly heavy user at the moment. I was eyeing the Moto G at $200 but ideally I want some kind of mid-tier device in the $300-$400 range. Like others I was waiting for the Nexus 6, but it priced itself out of consideration. The OnePlus One and the Nexus 5 seem to be the only two phones that fit the bill at the moment, but I've been reading about quality control issues with the OnePlus One.
What is the return policy for the OnePlus? I imagine I could probably always sell it at a slight loss if it ends up not working for me, but I'd rather return it to the manufacturer directly for a full refund if possible. EDIT: Google answered my question: http://oneplus.net/support/answer/what-is-your-warranty-return-policy. Also, what are T-Mobile users experience with this phone?

You're getting another one?I've got a pre-order all ready to go but I may or may not pull the trigger. We'll see.
Yeah, I think I am. 38R on my the OPO I had previously (now my wife's phone) is great and I miss the storage space and the processor. Seeing some Moto X-esque features announced in Android Lollipop clinched it for me.You're getting another one?
GPE was an experiment, and I'm pretty sure its dead by next year
I haven't seen a new GPE device for sometime, and when Samsung didn't participate its likely the movement is dead.I hope not. GPe has been my favorite thing in Androidland the last few years. I honestly can't stand CM, AOKP,etc. anymore after experiencing the rock solidness that those GPe-based ROMs are.
Now that the Silver program is dead the best us suckers who consume subsidy phones can hope for is that a GPe edition of a device we can buy on subsidy is made (and the subsidy version can flash that GPe version's ROM).

As I hypothesized before, companies like HTC and Samsung are out there to sell you their experience, and they believe that Sense and TouchWiz are differentiating factors in their devices. When you buy the device, you're buying a whole package. Otherwise it becomes the PC market where everyone has a slightly different hardware design and the OS looks the exact same, and then you end up with a race to the bottom in terms of price.
There will be a one hour pre-order extravaganza on Monday Oct. 27th. This is how I'm planning to buy mine. You can purchase 2 devices and any accessories you want in that time period. I may get the new JBL headphones as well.Wouldn't be a couple invites floating around out there that someone could hook a brotha up with by chance?

How will that work? My understanding regarding the invites is that if you have an invite, you can order a phone and it will be shipped to you.
Does the pre-order mean you just end up on a list with however many people also pre-ordered and you get a phone as soon as it's available? I thought I read somewhere that an invite moves you out of the pre-order list.
It's the same. They probably have a batch ready to ship for pre orders next week. They never had pre orders before it was all invite. So if you had an invite they sold you a phone whenever it was done being manufactured.
