Is the battery life any better than oxygenOS?
I wish I could tell you, I never installed OxygenOS. I am actually only a week into using my new (second) OPO and haven't had time to experiment with new ROMs yet.

On a separate note, should I have to call AT&T to have them update the IMEI on my account with that from my OPO? I am coming from an OG Moto X and everything works except MMS. I can get LTE speeds and send regular text messages but I can't send or receive pictures and video via SMS/MMS. If I put my SIM card back into my Moto X I can send and receive files.

NEVERMIND - I switched to the stock Messaging app from the new Messenger app and now I can send pictures. Something is wrong with Messenger on my OPO.

If I were to the OnePlus and use it on T-Mobile would I

1. Have to enter in APN and other stuff manually?
2. Would I still get LTE or Hspa+
3. Google Hangouts would it work?

I'm thinking about the OnePlus one over the Moto X 2014

Lots of people using the OPO on T-Mobile, you are good to go.

OK. If I am not on LTE what does it fall back too? HSPA+ or something else?

Yes, it will support every level of mobile data back to 2G. I've seen my OPO (well both of them actually) connect to LTE, HSPA+ (4G non LTE), 3G and 2G all in one drive from my hometown to KSC.

After playing around with my device, I've finally got the battery drain under control I believe. I'm planning on staying on Oxygen as it is extremely stable and so stock that it makes me happy. I've adjusted a few things with Xposed, and I'm completely content on where I'm at.

It'll definitely be nice to see what they add to Oxygen to make it an even more worthwhile ROM.

So is Oxygen every coming OTA or is just CM12? I like the idea of getting the very stock/basic Oxygen, but I don't really feel like rooting or whatever it is I need to do to install it right now.

From what I know, no there's no way to get Oxygen unless you unlock your bootloader and manually flash it. After that, all OTAs will come that way.

There are a few tools some users over at the OPO forums have made to make the process a lot simpler. Be warned, you will lose whatever apps and data you have on your phone as unlocking your bootloader factory resets your device.

Here is a tool for you to try if you are willing. It unlocks your bootloader, flashes a custom recovery, and installs Oxygen all in one go.

I think that tool or another like it will unlock, flash, relock and reset the tamper bit. That's pretty sweet but I'm going to stick with COS12 for the time being.

Hmm, interesting, thank you. I'll take a look at it.

It's very simple to install manually. Download the zip file from CM's website. Reboot the phone in recovery mode, click update, find the file, let it update, and click reboot. Took me a few minutes to do, the part that took the longest was the optimizing apps part after the reboot (around 15 minutes).

Can read this guide: https://forums.oneplus.net/threads/guide-ota-manual-install-easy.297425/unread
Yup, very easy. Did it myself on Day 2 when I didn't the OTA on Day 1. lol

If you have CM, you'll get the CM12 OTA. To install Oxygen, you need to do it manually since it's a different system. Once installed, future updates to Oxygen should be OTA. Unless you've downloaded some other custom variant of it.

So far Oxygen Lollipop running great on mine. Only thing I really miss is the photo editor that I had in Cyanogenmod. Overall, a huge improvement over KitKat.

I swapped over to the CM12.1 Nightlies on my OPO. I didn't realize the CM Nightlies were CyanogenMod as opposed to CyanogenOS. Super happy to put a very minimal gapps on there instead of getting all the Google crap I don't use in CM12S.

Ok, so after a few weeks of using CM12S (original and updated) I would like to conclude that I am very pleased with Cyanogen's work. My OPO is just damned nice to use. I have no glitches, no hitches, no lag, and no crashes. I have absolutely nothing to complain about at this time which is weird for me...

Also, another update is coming in the near future. Bring on Lollipop 5.1.1.
