Looking to pick up an OPO off of swappa very soon.
Been running CM on an old Galaxy III for a long time.
Should I be switching to Oxygen on the new OPO?

Not sure it's worth picking up on swappa. Might be a better idea to pick up direct for warranty purposes.

Yeah. I forgot the invite thing is over with now.

$350 direct
$300 on swappa (though maybe with a case or two...)

Is OPO shipping or is there a wait?

I think they ship pretty quickly.
I dont know if saving 50 is worth not having some sort of assurance.
Buy it on Amex or any other CC that offer an additional warranty and you would be covered.

My phone has been great with the latest Google Play Services. I have Oxygen OS installed, and it is rock solid stable.

Not really, there is a tool available at the OnePlus forums that will unlock the bootloader, flash the Oxygen ROM, relock the bootloader and even reset the tamper bit. From then on you will just get the updates via OTA.

I did consider going to Oxygen but 12s is so solid for me and I want to see what the 5.1.1 update does for my phone.

Three of us in my home have them and we love 'em. Plus one of my coworkers has one (my invite hard at work) and he's happy as a clam with it.

Guys, just download the signed zip file and install it manually. You can do this using the stock recovery, bootloader left locked and everything.

I got the notification that what is presumably the CM12 System Update is available. I am at work and have 73% battery life left but my charger is at home. I should be OK installing the update, right?

I believe so, my daughter's phone was at 51% when I started installing the update manually and at 49% when I gave it back to her. That even included me rebooting AGAIN into recovery to wipe the cache partition.

Yeah, the 80% guideline is playing it safe to make sure the phone has enough juice in case the install somehow hangs up for longer than usual (probably rare) and if you have a crap-ton of apps (I'd guess 1000+) for Android to refresh after the update is done. For the overwhelming majority it'll barely dent the charge.

Finally got the OTA CM12s update. Some stuff is very good (lock screen is much better, the widgets I was using are far more responsive now) but a couple of things are annoying like taking away the Quiet Hours quick key, now I need to do an extra click or two to just get the phone silent. Also I get double text message notifications now; I can't seem to figure out how get rid of one of them. :hmm:

Overall very quick and responsive though which is great.

I'm getting double text msgs too -- both the normal "pop up" and then I seem to get delayed ones on the lock screen.

Lack of quiet hours is annoying too. I can't find it ANYWHERE

PS: LOVING my new OPO!!!

Is anyone getting lags on the phone, as well as touch screen issues? My wife's OPO is causing her a lot of grief as the touchscreen sometimes:
1. is unresponsive at certain screen areas,
2. lags, e.g. touch the screen for several times, and nothing happens, then after a few seconds, all the touches are registered at once.

This seems to be a software problem as a reboot would usually solve the problem, but after a while they appear again.

This happened on CM11S, and still happens on CM12S. We've tried a dalvik-cache clear, as well as changing themes, but neither helped.

Sounds like to be a factory reset is in order. Sounds like something in settings or apps is mucking up the system if it gets better after a reboot.

So I'm in Canada, but will be heading to Hawaii next week and was going to take my OPO with me of course. I usually get an add-on plan from my data provider, but was thinking I should be able to just grab a sim while there.

Can I just buy whatever sim from a phone provider there and pop it in without issue, or do I need to do something special? Thanks in advance for the help.
