I've never used Craigslist, how secure is it?

Depends on your area. Never meet in a shady place, bring a friend if you have to, or meet in a public place with lots of people around. Here in Philly people get robbed for these phones or whatever electronic you are trying to sell. They ask to check it out and either run with it or pull a gun on you lol.

It was on the news a few weeks back so I'm always sketchy about craigslist unless it's a vehicle I'm selling.

I am on Verizon and I buy from Craigslist all the time. A lot of good deals there. Here are my simple rules:

1. Meet at Verizon store only. No exceptions.
2. Cash only. No exceptions.

My wife is on TMobile now and I am hesitate to buy her used phones anywhere. I hear that if someone stops making payment the phone gets blacklisted....

If you want to sell your phone try swappa, although it may take longer, it's safer and doesn't have as many fees as eBay.

But then again this is if you are in a hurry to sell. Craigslist will give you more if you live in a decent area. Then again most people on there are cheap anyway.

I'd make a stink out about the issue if I experienced the issue. The impression I got from the "publicity" was that the yellow stripe issue was rampant and that the stripe itself was horribly distracting to the point of making the phone painful to look at. No pitchforks are required here.

I thought they found a way to get rid of the band by exposing it to UV light to finish the "curing" of the glue?

you have to do your due diligence.
imei check, get a receipt and make sure phone is paid off.
get info on the seller//trader.

These are good rules to know.

Does anyone know the best way to make sure a Tmobile phone is paid off?

Some say they let it sit in the car and later they didn't notice it. Others say you need actual uv light not filtered.

Then most people say if you use the capacitive buttons it's sort of noticeable as opposed to using the on-screen buttons and you kind of need to look for it.

Ask them for a bill with phone showing its paid off and not in a contract or meet up with the person if doing a trade, at a tmobile store and they can verify for you.

Sometimes the EIP doesn't show up right away.

I do a chat with T-mobile support.
tell them I am looking to purchasing a T-mobile phone from a seller and want to do my due diligence and check to make sure im not purchasing a stolen, blacklisted or EIP phone.

I provide them with the IMEI/Make/Model and they confirm for me whether it's clear or not.
I had no problems with the agents confirming for me.

Sorry, didn't mean to. It was fine when I finished entering.

Had my N4 since launch. Planned to wait til N6, keep hearing it's discontinued and even if it weren't, no way G would go for a 3000+ mAh battery.

Heard about the OPO actually shipping only weeks ago, kicking myself for stopping to pay attention to it right when things were about to start happening.

I was content with the N4 except for the battery life lately and much prefer the Nexus experience over anything else for a million of reasons but this phone being cheap, unlocked and pre modded is on the same path as the Nexus line yet the OPO was made without concerns of it being too good to upset the halo phones, which is something Google had to balance for with it's devices.

64GB, 5.5" 1080p IPS, 3100 mAh battery, top of the line specs & components for $350... It's like everyone around the drawing board was high.

Well my one plus shipped today. It says priority mail 2 days so I should have it Thursday. Gonna work from home in case it needs signature confirmation, which the webpage of usps says it does.

I can't wait until the bugs of the official aosp Rom are ironed out. I haven't used CM much but it is similar so I'll need to get used to it.

I'm going to use nova launcher to give it the similar experience to sense with the menus and panels.

Does anyone know how to move apps from my current m7 to the one plus? I have a titanium pro backup but last time I tried it would not restore them on a different phone.

USPS tried to deliver mine yesterday, and failed because it requires signature. Now I won't be able to get it until Thursday. Since it has over a hundred dollars in insurance it does require a signature.

Mine says it has just $100 of insurance. Can't you drive to the post office in your town and pick it up maybe during lunch?

I hope that I can figure out and estimate when it is about to be delivered. I'll just log in from home to do my work that day assuming usps is correct for estimated delivery date.

Unfortunately not. I'm okay with not getting it until Thursday. Then I'll have an entire day to configure and play with it.
I looked again and mine had $100 in insurance as well, that must the the cutoff point and not MORE then 100.

Yea which I find weird because if anything happens you only get $100 bucks back vs the $350.

Im considering this phone if I can ever manage to buy one. Would be interested in hearing the subjective impressions of former Nexus 5 owners:

Do you find the phone bulky compared to the Nexus 5?

Is the increased CPU/ GPU performance noticeable in everyday tasks?

I think it is just to force the signature which would greatly reduce the odds of something happening. Like people claiming that they never received the phone, or postal workers leaving the phone sitting on a doorstep.
