I finally got my Orzly glass protector and it is excellent - fit, quality, clarity, etc. However it hasn't solved my touch issues which I had attributed to the cheap protector I was previously using.
I guess my Orzly was a lemon. The bubbles I had never went away, so I took it off, and tried to reapply it. That was a big mistake on my part, because the bubble area grew, and made the phone harder to read on than the yellow area ever did.

Because it took 9 years to get the Orzly, I got the Nillkin this time around. It only took 2 days to get with Amazon prime. I got no bubbles with the Nillkin, so I'm happy. I like the Nillkin a tad more, because the cutout it has includes space for the camera hole, as well as the earpiece. The Orzly only does the earpiece. Not sure if the Orzly would interfere with pics or not, but it's not an issue with the Nillkin. Other than the pic concern, you can't go wrong with either.

TBH the battery drain issue isn't as big as some blogs made it out to be. Titles like "30O destroying battery life" are inaccurate.

I personally found that drain increased from sub 1% to about 1.3-1.5%/hour with screen off. Is that terrible? No. It's not great either.

The CM11 nightlies following 8/15 seemed to have fixed the drain as I'm back down to about 0.7% drain/hour now. Pretty satisfied.

I am a bit disappointed that this bug made it out to an OTA that they've been waiting weeks and weeks to deploy (considering it was originally slated for July. Perhaps more software validation is needed or their test methods need to be improved.

It is also interesting to see how fast the CM team responds to these bugs. Typical issues and complaints for CM11 get long ignored, but when it comes to the OPO, they're on it fast.

Actually tons of screen protectors out there don't have cutouts for the front camera. I wouldn't worry about the Orzly.

BTW, I got my Orzly last Friday, but I haven't had the chance to go into the cleanroom yet. That's my plan for Monday. I'm on a Nillkin that's chipped due to idiotic handling and accidentally pulling on the USB cable while it was on my desk. Thankfully the new TPU case I got should resolve this, and so I will look forward to the Orzly.

Also for those who say the Nillkin has rounded edges, its round enough so you don't cut your fingers on the edge (obviously a 90 degree cut on glass is stupid), but the Orzly has VERY rounded edges. Think Nexus 4's curved glass edges.

Going from under 1% to 1.5% is at least a 50% consumption rate increase. That's substantial.

a couple of additional thoughts.
-yellow band seems to have gotten alittle better with some light exposure... will tan it some more to see if it goes away.
-phone seems to have some touch detection problems. not as accurate as my nexus 4
-battery life seems quite a bit better than the nexus 4
-speakers are louder
-the phone seems to randomly make a clicking noise... i dont know why but when the phone screen is off... it will randomly make a clicking noise... anyone know what that is?
-super quick rooting process... thanks to this guide: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2788632

leaning towards keeping the phone but need to do see if i can fix/deal with those problems.

I'm going to unlock mine and root tomorrow, as well as flash TWRP.

I'll backup my phone, and probably install Mahdi-Rom tomorrow.

I used CM for a few weeks. Think it's time to see what the Dev community is up to.

Is that green book from the Army/military? It looks like the books we use to write our weekend drill PMCS in (Preventive Maintenance Checks and Services).

Yep, federal govt standard issue green book. After playing with it more, the yellow banding has go down alot and now it is just a faintly yellow along the bottom edge that is only noticeable on pure white screens.

My main issue with the phone now is that the touch screen seems to miss touches and is not as responsive as my nexus 4. It also seems to stutter and lag when using the phone a bit, browsing via chrome, some other apps.. Anyone else notice the touch screen problems?

Yes - touch isn't as responsive as it should be. Hoping its just a software fix.

I'm going to try some custom roms tonight/tomorrow to compare.

My biggest issue with the phone is the random speaker volume thing. It just randomly ceases to be as loud as it is supposed to be. Stopping and restarting whatever I'm listening to fixes it 9 times out of 10, but there is the occasionally required reboot. As a big podcast listener this bothers me a lot.

I haven't noticed that, I am just impressed about how much better the speaker is than the nexus 4. I regret not upgrading phones a year ago or so.

I am finding this touchscreen problem more and more annoying. It just doesnt register when I hit icons sometimes... Though when typing it seems ok. The screen is too large to use the swipe method easily though and I am still trying to use the phone one handed... Too big for that even on my large hands.

Since I have been in Dallas for some time now I have put the phone in the direct sunlight more often. I updated to the latest software. My screen is overall more white but the yellow band is still there.

I've been waiting over a week for my refund rma to approve. I think at this point it has been past 14 days.

Yea I have an rma id too. I updated my support ticket with that information so they can look into it and I asked what would need to be done next from my end and I got another cut and paste reply about yellow screens lol.

I unlocked the bootloader and it wiped my phone, I'm at factory default with 4.4.4 30O, when I get it all set up again I'll test my audio to see if the problem persists. If it does, I'll install CWM and do a clean flash of the latest official CM11S ROM (after the next incremental is released) to see if that clears up my audio issues.

Anyone trying the CM11S Nightlies? I run those on my nexus 4 and sometimes they are a bit buggy/causes reboots for the most part run fine. It is nice to get the latest patches and updates immediately. That might help with some of these various problems..... I might do that tonight.

Anyone still have an invite for the One+? I'd like to try something with a real camera (compared to my N5).

On mine it's draining 2x as fast as it was before I updated. I would classify that on the bad side of the scale . But, no, it doesn't make the device unusable.

My Diztronic case yesterday as well. I am very fond of the case. It fits the phone perfect, is not bulky, lightweight, and has a good hand feel for the lack of a better term. It does make the phone a bit slick unlike the almost rubberized back that the OPO has.

Finally got my Diztronic TPU case today - I'm quite happy with it. While not quite as thin as the OPO cases, it's still quite slim and all the cuts-outs are good quality. Most importantly over the stock cases, it actually protects the entire phone + provides some screen protection. Combined with the Orzly glass screen protector, I'm content.

Now if the touch issues could be solved, I'd be completely happy.

I don't have any reference to earlier builds but having had my phone since Thursday, one of the biggest surprises is that the battery drains as fast as it does. Most of the time I've been at home on wifi checking the occasional email, Facebook, text. Browsing is all on the laptop...and it just keeps ticking down. I was out all Saturday but the phone wasn't on me from 8AM-6PM so I just put it in airplane mode.
