It's known as the 4 floors of whores. Google will provide more information.

I went there for entertainment (no, not THAT kind). My wife and I, and our friend who was living there went there one night. Since I was with a woman I was safe and no-one bothered me, but my poor buddy got mobbed, it was hillarious.

Imagine a 4 story building full of night clubs. On an average weekday night the clubs are packed, but only with woman (err, working women) and a SMALL handfull of guys (10:1 ratio easy). It's just comedy to watch.

That's probably something I shouldn't Google while at work, right?

That's affirmative.

Orchard Towers is also filled with erm.... transformer "ladies", so er... caveat emptor.

Nothing much to do in Singapore, really. This is a frequent complaint of Singaporeans.
The zoo here is quite nice, and the night safari is quite fun the last time I went.

Alternatively, how about spending half a day at a local heartland town centre and see how us locals live? Just take the subway/metro/MRT and go somewhere like Bedok or Tampines.... and go check out the food centres and our housing estates.

The zoo? I do need some fun day trips, but the zoo might be pushing the limits of the vacation.

I'd pass on the Zoo and the beach(es). They're nothing to write home about.

I will recommend going to the aquarium. Their underwater walkway is much better than the one we have here in Atlanta.

Yea, I don't know if I will go to the zoo. Want to check out the night safari for sure though.

I've been there like 15 times. Not much really unless you like to shop. I found out however that on the stuff that I liked, the prices were better here in the US.

I spent 4 days there when I was in the Navy, my destroyer anchored out and the crew went out to spend all their money as we were looking at 90 days straight in the Indian Ocean. On day #4 the captain announces that we're pulling anchor and going to the other side of Singapore to spend 6 weeks in the shipyard. Man, Singapore sucks when you have zero money.

Fun fact: This was also my first opportunity to poop in a hole in the ground.

Was that in the 60s? Singapore can be cheap if you ride mass transit and eat at the food stands. Fancy hotels, fancy shopping, fancy transvestites=broke!

For a country that allows prostitution...they sure are anal about other things.

But disallows porn. How does THAT make sense?
