Anyone familiar with Time Warners interview process ?

Guys,

I applied for a IT position within Time Warner cable. I got a call from them today after i applied 3 weeks ago. They called me and they had some pre-screening questions. Once done they stated they would refer this info to the hiring manager, and would call me back. Anyone familiar as how their process works ?

I'm not familiar with exactly how Time Warner pre-screening process, but I have been pre-screened in interviews with other companies. When they pre-screen, they want to know if your skills are applicable to the position you applied for. They don't want to waste the hiring manager's time interviewing someone who just blanket applied to every job available.

Treat the pre-screen just like any other interview. Review your resume. Polish your acronyms and hot/power words. Review the requirements of the position, make sure you are good fit. Write down your responses to any general questions.

Don't worry too much about the pre-screening. The pre-screener will probably asks general and resume questions. I never had a pre-screener ask any detailed business or technical questions.

Right, You are correct. He asked general questions, in which i think i did pretty well. He said that he will give this information to the hiring manager, and he will get back with me shortly.

I guess thats a good sign going forward at least...right ?

for an entry level position in a time warner company...

3 layers of interviews

1. phone interview (with HR)
2. interview with HR (general/personality type questions)
3. interview with hiring managers (1-3) (how technical this interview is directly depends on the hiring managers)

total time = < 3 hours


this may or may not apply to you depending on which time warner entity you're applying for.

I dont assume its entry level, I know that the call i had gotten was not a phone interview, but just a screening i guess, in which i am supposed to be called back (hopefully)
