Did anyone get a Geforce2 to work w/ XFree 4.0 ?
I'm still trying to get my prophet2 to work w/
mandrake 7.1 . I followed the instructions at
nvidia's site, dloaded the xfree4.0 files, kernel
rpm, & GLX drivers.
I installed everything but get "no screens found"
error.
Ques. If you did get it to run, what device did you use ?
first I made up a dev. call "gefc2" & edited my
xconfig file, still no diff.
second I used the name "geforce" for the device
name , I'm wondering if this would conflict w/
an original geforce driver or they both use the
same drive.
I did also follow the info at linuxnewbie's site
on getting a geforce2 to work w/ mandrake.
Thanks for your help
