Anyone go to/used to go to UC Irvine? Or any other UCs

If so, what's your opinion of it? I'm thinking about going there, depending if any other UCs accept me or not. How the dorms, teachers, classes, student body? What majors are good to learn over there?

I took a summer class there last summer. It sucked. The class was in a big lecture hall which makes it harder to learn IMO.

a lot of classes at UCs are in big lecture halls.

when you think about what you want to major in, ask yourself what do you want to do. it's a hard question to answer, even for graduating seniors and beyond, but study what interests you and you should do well.

It's mostly asian. Dorms are small. Classses are usually large. The majors I hear that are good are Engineering and Econ.

but high point of uci is location

irvine is a GREAT place to live. everything's clean, crime is low
however, irvine is a HORRIBLE place to party

if you're not living on campus (or on campus equivelent), you're screwed. don't even think about trying to throw a party in irvine, it will be broken up by 1230.

nightlife is pretty limited, gotta go to irvine spectrum, newport, or LA.

not completely true. i have a couple of friends that throw parties every week on campus and they get pretty crazy sometimes. they live in the campus apartments for grad students so there's quite a bit more leeway then the dorms.

ucsb is more of a party school, uci is more mellow/laid back + in a way nicer area

i miss 4 lane streets with 50mph speed limits

Crackers intimidated by massive Asian population in the UC system. I laughed. California has the largest Asian population in the US. What a surprised. Classes held in large lecture halls? Show me an university w/ a 10 student per class avg. ratio.
