Anyone got ANY info on TV Tuner cards??

i really need to get a pci tv tuner card, but cant hardly find any recent reiviews at all online.
if anyone owns a good one or has any info please post.
all ive found is that the wintv is pretty decent.
but i dont know wat the difference between the wintv go and wintv theater is as far picture quality.
basically all i care about is picture quality, all other options is not that important.
Any info would be a great help, and budget is <$150.

any of the PCI WinTV cards should have similar picture quality as they all use the same decoder chip. The difference in models is the type of video inputs (composite, s-video) and the sound output (mono, stereo, or decoded pro-logic). For optimal image quality be sure to use DScaler.

Whatever you decide to buy, see if there are drivers specifically written for Win2K and XP. Most owners of older TV tuners have serious problems.

Yep..nothing worse then buying a new capture card and the last driver was for WIN98 ... Wonder why there's dozens of the same capture/tuner's cards on fleabay..lol

I have the WinTV PCI card and it worked fine in win2k and WinXP. Its one above the base model (only diff. is it comes with a remote), so it should work fine for you. only downside is that the highest res. it does is 640x480 and has mono sound. Just do not get the USB one, those are really bad with drivers for 2k and XP.

I got a TV Wonder VE for Christmas. I'm using the win2k drivers and it works in XP.
