They haven't released it yet. They're blocking the release of the phone. My friends dad has it on pre order.

Its cleared Customs now. Took some time for Customs to pull its head from its buttocks and realize that HTC corrected the feature.

Wouldn't shock me if Customs wanted to inspect each individual handset though. Clueless idiots.

Keeping my fingers crossed. I can't wait to ditch this old flip phone from 2006. I have pre-orders from both Sprint store and Best Buy.

Saw one of these today that a friend owns.

Seriously... WHY isn't there more buzz over this phone?

I honestly was kind of ashamed of the kids toyish-looking roundy-ness of my SGS3 in comparison. The screen was brighter/better/sharper than the SGS3. It seemed just as fast.

Yet all I've been hearing about is the One X; that thing looks like a goofy kid's toy beside the Evo 4G. If Verizon had had this phone I'd have owned it in a heartbeat over the SGS3.

(It even looks like an updated Droid X with the same logical no-nonsense layout and top and bottom edges. Moto should pull an Apple and sue!) The kickstand is just icing on the cake.

The only downside as far as I know was the non-removable battery.

What's the catch that there isn't more buzz about this phone? Even this thread, the only one I could really find about it, seems to have died a quick death.

It is on Sprint, that is the catch.

I have one and I think it is amazing, and yes it does have the multitasking problems of the One X but CM10 is already very useable on it.

But I think my headphone jack might be broken, I have been noticing some static and popping.

Yup the problem with it is that it works only on Sprint. If that weren't the case it would be hands down the best HTC phone. Still not as good as the Galaxy S3 though.

multitasking probably fixed by a supercharger script if I had to guess? said that home keeps getting pushed out of memory.
Someone probably messed up the minfree values.

It amazes me such a great phone is only on one carrier. (Though I'm not surprised Verizon doesn't have it.)

What exactly is the multitasking problem? I didn't notice anything myself just playing around with the device, but then I wasn't looking for it.

Anything glaring that doesn't work in CM10, or is it good enough to use as the main OS?

Google HTC broken multitasking and see the videos of it. It's terrible and makes the phone basically unusable for power users. Even the iPhone has better multitasking than One X and that should tell you all you need to know.

I'm hoping it will hit Rogers in Canada like the EVO 3d did, then we'll have a gsm version in existence at least.

I'm still probably going to wait for the note2 or other next gen though.

Looked it up. Yeah, that seems pretty bad, especially that its on purpose. I'm guessing they did this to improve battery life at the expense of multitasking?

At least the phone seems very easy to ROM and HTC doesn't toss up barriers to it.

CM10 works great and fixes all the issues with sense (like multi tasking). Data/SMS/Voice all work on it along with google now, the only thing I think that isn't working is the Video mode on the camera.

Only problem is that I think you have to be S-OFF though, which means you cant have taken the latest OTA update which includes a new bootloader.

There are ways around the multitasking issues in sense by editing build.prop.

There is a line you can add to prevent the OS from unloading specific apps and also from unloading the launcher.

It will basically stop sense reloading and I put skype and other apps that need to be on constantly to work into my build.prop so they never get unloaded.

Software issue aside, I like the EVO way better then the GS3.
The white version looks great.
I wish Samsung would stop using glossy plastic all over their phones.
