I know my requirements, I want car at least 1990 with no physical damages and good condition for under 3k and i keep going to private owners to look for cars while running this thread, I know that someone might offer good offer that I accepted with 80,000 community there is a lot of chances of me finding seller here.
yesterday i saw in perfect condition 1993 mitsubishi diamente station wagon with no dents and looked like in excellent condition orig price he wanted $3900 but than dropped to $3100 but with taxes and registration it would be way over my budget. thats why japanese cars usually more expensive thats why i am looking for american cars. There sometimes cases were people despirately for money give away cars for bargains as some people indicated in this thread.
<< My parents just bought my sister a 94 subaru for $1800 off some guy that was desperate for money last week.
I say look for 90+ 2.2 or 2.5l dodge shadows. Those 4 bangers are indestructable and they have no resale value. I see them all the time for under $2k and if you look you can find them for under $1k. >>
Agreed. My 2.5 TBI was an absolute horse. To make a long story short, back in 94, my mom drove our Aries for 150+ miles on ZERO engine coolant and put a small crack in the block. Despite that, she ran strong for 7 more years. Impressive.
a great place for deals is the proving grounds of the big 3 in michigan. I bought my 1996 Neon there in 1998 with 22k miles on it for $6100. Its still worth $4800 today with 90k miles. They sell used fleet vehicles that are EXTREMELY well taken care of. Mine had its oil changed every 3000 miles the entire time it was in the DC family, with documented proof.
Too bad you're not in CA. I just saw a 93 Nissan Sentra 4-door for 1800 this morning. It's a lien sale, someone dropped it off for a new tranny and never paid to get it out of the shop.
I wish I had the $1800. My '83 GTI needs too much work. Need to get something else. Wife won't let me drive the s-10 I bought her... Wonder why? (Read: Tickets doing 110 in a 65.. LoL)
i'm looking to sell my MERCEDES '83 with about 160,000miles on it for $2000
it's an S-class with a v8 engine, 4 door model, gold exterior, good condition, am/fm/cd, power locks/steering/windows, cruise, air cond, automatic transmission
