anyone gotten a US passport lately?

I had to renew and I had a trip the next week, I paid a service to do it for me, I had my new passport in 3 days.

I applied for mine some time in May, I was shocked to receive it in the mail 10 days later. I did not pay to have it expedited.

A lot of people I know go to the Canadian side of the falls. Most who have mentioned the passport thing have said that it's a lot quicker than they expected.

whatever you do, make sure you pay for expedited. i did not and i got my passport 4 hours before leaving the country and i had to drive 4 hours to get the fucking thing. i hate new orleans now

My boss got one last year....there were about 20 people in a group going overseas for a church thing. They all took over 8 weeks.


I'm pretty certain they've gotten the time it takes somewhat reduced by now.

Tunraround time is really fast right now...One of my firends sent off for one about a month ago and got it back in under two weeks....I think it may have even been the following week....but it all depends on how many they have coming in at any giving time but in general they are probably overstaffed right now because they really hired a tonof people when the new passport laws went into effect....and with that being a little bit in the past and the economy in the tank...things are probably generally running slow...

i got mine just over two months ago.... from the day i went to the post office and filled the forms, it took 8 days to be at my house
