Then electroshock as last resort.

I don't believe in acupuncture one little bit, but my mum really wanted me to try it so I did a few weeks of it for her. This involved the traditional needle-in-face treatment plus some needle-in-face-plus-electric-shock treatment. It was unpleasant and didn't appear to help.

Sorry to hear OP. A girl I worked with in HS had BP. Woke up with it one mourning and it stuck around for about two months. She just woke up one mourning and it was gone just as fast as it came, damnedest thing I had ever seen. She was hot too.

I had Bell's Palsy 5 yrs back, it was a compressed facial never due to over exposure to cold. my doctor gave me some predisolone (steroid) and physiotherapy and it went away in 1 month.

Not that it is of any help but Jamey Sheridan from Law And Order: Criminal Intent had it. He wore an eyepatch in several episodes.

I had Bells a few years back. Lasted about 8 months. Seeing those pics brings back lots of memories. I went to Hawaii when I had it and in all my pictures I'm not smiling. If I remember what seemed to help was massages to my hands and feet. I think I remember reading something about pressure points so I tried it and it ended up making my face twitch, which I felt was better than the NOTHING it was doing before. I also still have a bit of synkinesis. I'll smile and one eye will partially close for instance. Luckily the worst of it is only with extreme facial expressions that I don't do very often.

Good luck, bro. I know how frustrating it can be to look in the mirror trying to make your face move with no results.

My buddy had it in high school. He woke up one morning and didn't have feeling in half his face. Dr's said it was Bell's Palsy, but for him it lasted under a year total? I dont' really know too much about it since it kinda came and went and we hardly noticed it Good luck, I know he was frustrated by it so :beer: to you sir.
