I got my first microdermabrasion yesterday and I must say that I don't feel that it amounted to much. My skin was drier for a few hours after the treatment. I think I could accomplish the same thing with a rough washcloth. I have at least 3 treatments left. I'll see how it goes.

Reviving an old thread.

Any updates? My girlfriend wants to do this and I was thinking of getting a series of treatments for her for Xmas....same deal, 4 treatments for $300. I google-imaged for some before/after pictures, and it certainly does seem to improve things. But I'm sure those pics were all best case scenario models.

Maybe it depends upon the person who does operates the microderm 'wand'. I don't think the person was near agressive enough. After a treatment my skin felt a little dry but it wasn't doing anything else in my opinion. I don't have bad acne scars before or after.
