Nothing like punishing the consumer for making a legal purchase... You bought DRM'd music, you dug your own hole.

Yep, one of the many annoyances with DRM music. You can always burn a CD with the songs you downloaded and rip them back into MP3s and that will strip the songs of any DRM protection. I'm not sure how legal that is though. I would imagine that's a gray area.

Thx for response. I googled this topic and found that method too, but it would eat up all my cdr very soon since I download quite a lot songs, so im still looking for a better and cheaper method.

It's a grey area, and will also result in significant loss of sound quality. When your source is 128bit, you can't afford to lose much more unless you think the $0.25 phones that come with an ipod are high quality

Spend a $ or two on a cdrw

How much can you be losing? Writing it to a cd shouldn't cause any loss. If you re-rip to the same format, wouldn't it preserve roughly the same information?

But yeah, on the whole, buying low quality sound, with no physical backup, no album art and it's artificially crippled = bad idea.

It's like a picture of a picture, you lose a bit each time.

create an audio cd, convert it to an ISO, mount the iso using daemon tools, rip the audio cd

Just burn it to CD then rip it in a lossless format like WAV or WMA lossless (with the DRM option off ).

Then they'll be no more quality loss.

it's not their fault you can't install software on your office computer...so your rights really aren't being violated here. i think i heard there is a rhapsody portable coming out soon, perhaps that will solve your problem.
