French bulldog might be possible for you. English bulldog? No way in hell would I have one in an apartment.
Really, I wouldn't have either of those breeds in an apartment setting. My brother and his wife breed English bulldogs and those are not ones I would ever suggest to somebody in an apartment setting.
Very active. VERY. Most apartment complexes have a weight limit anyway and you would definitely be over for most places with an English bulldog. Frenchies are rambunctious as well but weigh less than the English but are still over most weight limits.Originally posted by: ric1287

They (and now I'm talking more about English bulldogs) have a very nice temperament. Very friendly dogs. They're also very protective dogs and are attention seekers. They're also much more active than people believe them to be.Originally posted by: ric1287
man, i was under the assumption that they were pretty chill dogs. How are they with other dogs (like a big boxer)

what about an American Bulldog? I'd say mine gets spurts of energy, but definitely not a hyper-active dog. Bigger than English bulldogs, but females are only about 80lbs. Best dog I have ever had.
