I don't know if they've improved but I used a CMP 3500 and the drivers were horrible. Constantly "losing" the printer, gpf's, constant memory leaks (win9x). Just very flaky! And you *cannot* use the device (even as a simple printer) unless the multipass server TSR loads and detects the damn thing. :| Hopefully they've improved.
anything that is more than just a printer sucks... i have worked with many different kinds.... all have been nothing but a pain in the rear end... and right now i am POed at canon cuz a friend of mine has a c3000 and we can't even get it to work cuz there are no win2k/xp drivers... just from my experience all-in-ones = crap and an overall pain... i would suggest just buying a printer and scanner and some fax software and use the modem in your computer...
this may be a little biased, but that is only because i have never gotten an all-in-one (canon or hp) to work properly...
just my babble
I heard that all-in-ones used to be crap, but apparently the newest models (like the Canon F30/F50 and the HP PSC 750/950) are a lot better. Any other opinions?
I can only echo what the previous posters said: MultiPass my stepdad had (L6000 I think) was absolutely awful - drivers, software, hardware, everything. Don't have any experience with newer models, though.
