Please post pics of your case, modified or not. I am planning to purchase this case, and it looks like a steal for $73 including 350W Antec Smartpower PSU. Please post any comments/opinions about the case as well Thanks!

heh, I should have mentioned it. I purchased the case from Newegg already. Just waiting for it to arrive and looking for some comments/better pics. What sold me on this case is the price and the two 120mm fan mounts. This case looks like a badass case, possibly much better than the rebadged Chieftechs. I'm anxious to see how this case actually is... the newegg pics may or may not do it justice.

Could anyone give us a example of how loud the fans are? I was thinking of getting a case like this. Its small so it would make a great lan box considering it can take a ATX Mobo How many fans can this thing take?

well, you can always change the fans, I butchered a small case like this from svc, using 2 panaflo 120x38 fans, with a bay bus to switch to 7volts when needed, it's very quiet.

the first time I saw that case I said "that's beautiful." my gf was lie "wtf!?"

anyway, that case is sweet, I hope you mod the F@#$ out of it.

I got myself a SLK3700 about a month ago to use as an exteremly quiet server case with a Tualeron and a 7-volted Panaflo on the back wall. I love the fsck out of this case. I've built dozens and dozens of systems using Antec SX-series cases and I like this one better. 2 x 120mm fans, O-rings on the HDD cage, drive rails, front USB, fan filter on front. Lots of cool stuff. The only two things I didn't like about this case are 1)Fan grills are more restrictive than SX-series grills (I cut out the rear fan grill on my case as soon as I got it), and 2)No room behind MoBo plate to hide excess case wiring. Other than that it's a "10".

Here's a couple of pics of my case: #1, #2. There's been some discussion over at Ars about the amount of room that is available to mount the front fan. Some folks are claiming that there's not enough room to mount a 38mm deep fan in the front (Panaflos are 38mm deep). I am not running a front fan on my case but I ripped it apart the other day to check this issue out. The good news is that a 120mm Panaflo will fit in the front position. You have to mount it right to the front of the case though, using regular, self-tapping fan screws. There is not enough room for nuts or O-rings or such. Here's a pic of the front fan mounted in my case.

The specs on this system are in the "Ralf's Rigs" link. I'm running a 1.1A Tualeron with the retail HSF running at 7-volts. One 7-volted 120mm L1A on the back, a Barracuda IV and an Antec True380 PSU. This system is so quiet that you can't even hear it from over two feet away. Case temps run in the mid-20C to 30C range, CPU idles at 40C and runs around 50C at Prime95 load.

Again, to reiterate: I love this case. I will be using this case for any future builds (pending the appearance of the "Tranquility" from Antec) instead of the Antec SX-series. I have my main rig in a Coolermaster 710 (SX10x0 clone with aluminum face) and am thinking of swapping all the guts into another SLK3700 because I love it so much.

Don't have any pics, but have it and love it. I did the 7V connector mod on the included 120mm exhaust fan and it's pretty quiet but still moves a decent amount of air. RH's post tells you pretty much everything you need to know about it. Out of all the cases I've owned, it's by far my favorite.

You make me want this case more and more! Its all your fault! Do you guys this would make a good Lan Box? How heavy is it, assuming you dont have 5 fans and a massive HSF.

Well, I already bought the 2 Sunon "slim" (25mm) 120mm fans, so those shoul fit in the stock fan mounts. I am going to cut away some of the fan grills (or possibly all of them and replace with wire grills), but I gotta remember that this is a workstation, not a personal box

Specs of the workstation's innards:

Intel P4 2.4A 533mHz Retail
Alpha PAL8942 + high flow Panaflo 80mm
Abit BE7 (onboard sound and NIC)
2x256MB Crucial PC2100 DDR
ATi FireGL 8700 64MB DDR
LSI Logic SCSI U160 Controller card
IBM Ultrastar 15K RPM 18GB SCSI U160 drive (~3ms access)
TPE SCSI Cable
Pioneer 16X DVD
Floppy Drive
2x120mmx25mm Sunon fans
Logitech keyboard+mouse
MS Office XP SBE
MS Windows 2000 Pro
Round IDE Cable
Round FD Cable
