I got myself a SLK3700 about a month ago to use as an exteremly quiet server case with a Tualeron and a 7-volted Panaflo on the back wall. I love the fsck out of this case. I've built dozens and dozens of systems using Antec SX-series cases and I like this one better. 2 x 120mm fans, O-rings on the HDD cage, drive rails, front USB, fan filter on front. Lots of cool stuff. The only two things I didn't like about this case are 1)Fan grills are more restrictive than SX-series grills (I cut out the rear fan grill on my case as soon as I got it), and 2)No room behind MoBo plate to hide excess case wiring. Other than that it's a "10".
Here's a couple of pics of my case:
#1,
#2. There's been some discussion over at Ars about the amount of room that is available to mount the front fan. Some folks are claiming that there's not enough room to mount a 38mm deep fan in the front (Panaflos are 38mm deep). I am not running a front fan on my case but I ripped it apart the other day to check this issue out. The good news is that a 120mm Panaflo will fit in the front position. You have to mount it right to the front of the case though, using regular, self-tapping fan screws. There is not enough room for nuts or O-rings or such.
Here's a pic of the front fan mounted in my case.
The specs on this system are in the "Ralf's Rigs" link. I'm running a 1.1A Tualeron with the retail HSF running at 7-volts. One 7-volted 120mm L1A on the back, a Barracuda IV and an Antec True380 PSU. This system is so quiet that you can't even hear it from over two feet away. Case temps run in the mid-20C to 30C range, CPU idles at 40C and runs around 50C at Prime95 load.
Again, to reiterate: I love this case. I will be using this case for any future builds (pending the appearance of the "Tranquility" from Antec) instead of the Antec SX-series. I have my main rig in a Coolermaster 710 (SX10x0 clone with aluminum face) and am thinking of swapping all the guts into another SLK3700 because I love it so much.
