Bought one yesterday, returning it today.

No keyboard support is annoying, but the biggest drawback is it will only play one video at a time. No continuous play, no play a whole season, nothing...... My kids like some short clip videos which are only ~7 minutes in length so going back to the main menu to play the next clip is too annoying.

Luckily I have a PS3 so it will go back to video duty.

Then if your not using an HDMI switching amp...you send HDMI to the TV, and use the optical (or other digital) OUTPUT of the TV go back to the amp. That was how it was done before HDMI switching amps were common.

I think he knows this. He was complaining about the lack of an optical audio output, and zerogear didn't understand why he needed optical and hdmi.

I don't have a digital out on my tv. The ones which do are usually just 2ch outputs anyway.

I guess that's an issue with the app. Netflix for example, after it finishes an episode goes to an menu that immediately has the next episode selected for playing so all I have to do is just click the OK button to continue on. Though yeah, it would be nice if it behaved more like the Netflix web app where it would automatically continue to the next episode after 15 seconds.

Google yields TONS of complaints about it and some Roku devs answered and said it wasn't a priority. Pass, i'll return it when my PS3 works better.

In the end I have to go with the Apple TV. It has NBA League Pass and it works quite well with very good quality, and I can stream to the Apple TV from our iDevices as well as Android devices.

Does Apple TV do continuous play via Netflix/Amazon/Hulu apps?

If you download the smartphone app (iOS/Android), there are 3rd party ones available for WP. It allows you to type from those keyboard.
