It sucks. Plain and simple. I have the small black one that clips together and it works infinitely better than this POS. Even at 450 degrees, the thing doesnt get hot enough to grill anything. My chicken comes out slightly warmed up-- like i boiled it or cooked it in the microwave. (and this is after 20 minutes of cooking) The old small grill actually grills the chicken like a bbq. I'm not sure if it's the lack of a clip or maybe the removable plates dont get as hot...but its disappointing.

I think im going to go buy 3 small black ones instead.

yeah but neither can cook a chicken breast or steak in 6 minutes with 0 prep time and straight out of the freezer. And with the old one, it came out AWESOME

Maybe you got a defective one? Although for $78 (Amazon's price) you *could* buy three of the smaller ones and have a lot more total cooking space.

I have one and it works just fine, not sure what the problem is with yours. Just used it this weekend to cook some brats and some other meats. Brats came out nice and plump with nice burn marks on each side.

How many people are you cooking for that you need 3 of the standard size grills working at the same time??

It was right next to a Geo Foreman grill and was 12 dollars less.

Just a great product.

LOL, nice link job.

I ditched my foreman for this - when I dont wanna fire up the big boy on the deck, this thing does an awesome job:

Cooking surface is removable & dishwasher safe. Timer keeps you from leaving it on/having to unplug it to shut it off/overcooking. Drip tray is built in (removable) and doesnt slide out of the way creating a gooey mess. And it was about $20 less than the Foreman.

the std sized one i have only has room for a single burger, chicken breast, or steak. So unless i'm cooking solely for myself, it takes multiple devices.

Hm... apparently mine is the 96 inch one too. As is the one on amazon. I don't have the problem you described at all.

I own the pedistal GF grill. I got it for $4.95 shipped from Amazon a while back on a deal.

It does a great job on everything and is virtually smoke free....great for an apartment. I'll probably never use it again since I just got a gas grill at my house. But it rocks.

torpid, when you put a chicken breast on the grill, does it sizzle right away like you threw it in hot oil? My new one doesnt make any noise whatsoever and this is on the 450 degree setting. I'm thinking maybe my grill is defective...
