My sister is asking me about a streamax box someone is trying to sell her for $300 . I've never heard of it and it sounds a little 'too good to be true'
The website: http://streamaxit.tv
The only thing I can find googling it are people selling it, and this Reddit page that isn't very helpful. https://www.reddit.com/r/cordcutter..._experience_with_streamaxtv/?ref=search_posts
Based on the Reddit thread it's an Android box using free software that is being sold marked up as some sort of pyramid scheme/multilevel marketing.
If it's just using free Android apps, which apps?
I recommended if she did buy it to use a credit card with good purchase protection so she can get her money back if the company disappears a few months after she buys it and the apps stop working.
