I see tons of Audi fans admiring the specs and features.I never heard anyone here talk about personal experiences with Audis. By modern i mean 97 and up.

There's a few people who own Audis on this forum...I happen to have a 2001 A4 1.8T. Absolutely love the car so far...zero problems thus far and it's very tuner friendly

Considering a 2003 Audi A4 1.8T Quattro. That's about it...thought I may wait for the coupe to come out.

Have you given one a test drive yet? The B6 platform A4 has packed on a couple hundred more pounds over the previous generation. I've heard that the stock 1.8T has to work really hard to move the car now...chipped it should be a different story.

Last year looked at a bimmer, a 1.8t quattro, volvo, and saab. Although I liked the solidness and weight of the audi, the engine felt anemic. With two people in the car besides myself, I had difficulty getting up to speed quickly while going uphill. Couldnt justify the cost of the bimmer. The volvo wasnt fast enough and the ride was too soft. The saab was just right. The volvo wasnt fast enough and the ride was too soft. The saab was just right...less cost than the bimmer, faster and lighter than the audi, sportier than the volvo.

I own a 2001 TT Coupe. I think that qualifies as modern. Love it. Only problems were a loose passenger-side side marker, and a bad fuel sensor (semi-known problem, there was a recall with A6s years ago for this problem). Other nuisances (but nothing unexpected or really needs fixing): consumes some oil (could be my driving), power window gremlins (moves itself sometimes, rare), some buzz in the dash, the privacy shield rattles a little.

And I removed my badges as well, except for the rings. I don't see how it is rice.. I guess it isn't a performance mod.. but it isn't as if I added something. I just think it looks cleaner without the TT and the quattro badges. Better symmetry, and less visual pollution to distract from the lines of the car.

someone here has a nice blue A4, it was damaged by a riceboy in a civic while parked in a parking lot not too long ago. I forgot who owns the Audi though.

Dad owns a '98 A6.. nice car. It's loaded with everything but heated seats.. cost like $15k used. :Q

Drives nice, accelerates pretty well, very comfy.. but I'm not a fan of larger cars (I'm too used to driving my Civic).. :\

RS4, pretty good acceleration and mileage. I keep smoking the ricers who challenge me.

I've got a '00 VW Passat...which is like 75% Audi. When I'm crawling under it to change the oil nearly every part under there has an Audi logo on it.

Do I sort of count?

The 30V V6 is unbelievably quiet as well. After warming up and idling for about 2 or 3 minutes, you can barely tell the car is running.

Isn't there a member here who recently had his blue new-body-style A4 sideswiped by some punk? Then he had to take it to a bodyshop and he recently posted pics of the results.
