Anyone here do pharmaceutical sales?

If so, what do you think? I am a marketing major graduating in May and really am not totally intrigued by sales but my previous sales experience is with the consumer. I noticed this is a fairly good paying field. Share your experiences if possible. Any advice would be great. I'm looking to go anywhere but would prefer the greater Chicago area.

Are you a well endowed good looking young female? If not then you will probably not get a pharm sales job.

I realize that being a good looking female has its advantages. I'm sure there are some male pharm. sales people out there. I am a tall white male and am confident looks should not be a problem.

my sister is a rep for solvay in nyc. the pay and benefits are great and imo it really is an easy job. she doesnt always like dealing with many of the doctors since they have big egos and often treat the reps like dirt. she was a science major in college which is pretty rare for the industry.

Yes. Someone pointed out some doctors will bash you hardcore. Especially if the doctor doesnt like the company or maybe even the drug you are pushing for. Some doctors it is egos, others its not. Pharm companies can be quite the dirty players and they can and will use some underhanded tactics. It is a good job with great benefits but be prepared to be hassled, haggled, called out on etc...not to mention your customer service and attitude have to be impeccable at all times.
