You should move to So Cal then, finding $1-1.50 tacos here is easier than finding a speed freak in a trailer park. I had 3 tacos, Elote (corn on the cob dipped in Mayo with chili powder & parm cheese sprinkled on it and drizzled with Tapitio) and a draft beer for $6 the other day.
Somehow I feel like the housing cost differential would rapidly offset my newfound taco savings.

Yes, That is the solution for everyone who might enjoy Chipotle.

i had a Chipotle Burrito the size of my head 2 days ago and had massive IB issues for the last 36 hours. Not saying it's related...but the burrito tasted great...

Would i do it again? No.

3 chicken or beef tacos for $3.75 at a sit down Mexican place. But I went with a carne asada burrito + 1 chicken tacos for $7 and they taste so much better than Chipotle.

Most chicken at mom and pop taco places are terrible. Gotta actually seek out places that grill their chicken well, which I feel chipotle does.

I think I'm at a crossroads in life where I'm over $1 tacos - except for Al pastor. $1.25 al pastor tacos forever.

The two times I've had Chipotle, the meat was flavorless and the cilantro rice wasn't good either. One Chipotle in Orange County and one in the LA Valley. Both were not good. Never eaten there again.

Grilling chicken commercially is very tricky. You actually have to undercook it a bit and let it rest to get to safe temperature. There's not really a good way to do this in fast-food type places. KFC is a good example: get their grilled chicken and 100% guarantee the white meat will be like eating a sponge.

It's actually pretty tasty when you get it right out of the convection oven. Too bad it turns to rubber after sitting in a holding cabinet for an hour.

chips/salsa/guac are never a good deal at Chipotle. the burrito or bowl or tacos are already way more food than anyone needs for a single meal, anyway. So it's like throwing money away.

that, and paying $1-2 for $0.10 of carbonated sugar syrup? why oh why oh why do people still consume that crap today? Water + free lemon wedges at the Chipotle bar = epic free & refreshing lemon-flavored drink.

btw--ate at Chiptole two weeks ago. neither of us died. I did notice that this one Chipotle had no lemon wedges available, so wondering if this is part of their response to contamination? This was my first time in this Chipotle, and it looked as there was never a space for those wedges, anyway (tiny soda/hotsauce/utensil area)

i would hesitate on those lemon wedges.
