Anyone here ever been to a UFC event?

Just got tickets to UFC 103 in Dallas, TX so I'll be there with a couple of friends that weekend. Never been to a UFC event, but everytime I'm in Vegas, there's a ppv and the atmosphere there is crazy. I hope it's the same in Dallas.

What are some good restaurants in Dallas (preferably steakhouses). What are some things to definitely check out?

I went to Chuck/Jardine in Anaheim a while back. Lots of fun, amazing amount of hot bitches. Saw tons of celebs, fighters, etc. GSP had two of the hottest blondes on his arms that I had ever seen....

Downside: Having to be around all the d-bags in tapout and affliction shirts.

I went to a fight night in Tampa not too long ago. It was an absolute blast, however as said before, you will run into a lot of dudes wearing affliction shirts 3 times too small for their bodies.

We'll be renting a car, so we don't mind driving an hour away or so. Will definitely check out the bar scene out there.

Seats are actually pretty far. Don't mind it though as long as we can see the action.

No I mean I saw them....up close, walking around, etc.


I was standing in line for a beer and a hotdog, look to my left, and Jamie Priestly is getting a beer right next to me. Two fans came up and asked for a picture with her, and she was totally nice about it.

GSP I saw walking around near concessions as well. Shone Carter was going up and down the aisles trying to get anyone he could to give a damn about him.

Nah its not that bad, like any big city it has its ups and downs. Its way better here than it was back home imo. You will have fun, just depends on what you like to do.

Not everyone has the same opinion. He probably had a shitty time because he didnt know wtf he was doing.

It's hard to tell the OP what to do in Dallas because we don't know what he likes to do. OK, so he likes drinking and watching grown men beat the shit out of each other. Might as well spend the rest of your time in Deep Ellum. You can get drunk and are sure to witness a real fight or two.

Beware of posers wearing Tap Out shirts who took one jiu jitsu class or watched UFC a few times and are now legit MMA fighters.

On a lighter note, I hear they are amazing to go to and a blast in and of itself. My muy thai sifu has been ringside for a couple ufc fights and met a lot of the guys, including Dana White. Its fun to hear his stories..like the one he told me yesterday of how Lesnar needs custom gloves because his paws are just too monsterous. First time he fought they atctually had to manually stretch his gloves so his hands would fit in...

They haven't anounced the main event yet.
