Anyone here have a pressure washer with a Honda GX390 engine?

I have one and the engine runs great and it has pressure but the pump leaks water in some spots and water is getting in the pump oil. I am trying to figure out if I should just replace the pump for around 300 or so or if I can rebuild it for much cheaper. The pump is a general pump EZ4040

I would say buy a new one since that pressure washer is about $1200 new (think so...?) Anyhow I have the same setup and if mine were doing what your is then I would for sure get a new pump...? $300 is not that much for a new pump for one of those...

Only other thing you could try is a gasket kit for the pump...? Might save you a few bucks...?

I bought a new pump for 309 off Amazon and the square trade 4 year warranty for $18 more. I will buy a rebuild kit for the other one if possible

I have a 13 HP (GX 390) MI-T-M pressure washer and had to replace the pump a few years ago ... with the EZ4040. The pump has worked very well. Recommend going to Fleabay and just replacing it.

Or you can try to reuse your existing unloader and get just the pump for $270.

I would have gone the rebuild route, if you can wait to finish the work... tear it open and see if the rest looks good and it only needs a seal, then order the appropriate parts.
