Oh, and Dntel but I guess he doesn't really fit the category. It's electronic and all, but I'm not sure how to describe it. Try "The SOS" or "High Horses Theme" by him, real good stuff.

Tell me about it, they even have me on their paid plan, hook line and sinker. It's so hard to say no to CD quality electronic music.:Q

Happy hardcore is horrible, how can you stand to listen to it?

Not being a dick, just asking a serious question. I can't help but compare happy hardcore to scheisse pr0n -- I know some people enjoy it but I can't for the life of me figure out why.

Pretty much what people have said so far.

Try out ETS-Global for free 192k streams. It's less "mainstream" than Di.fm (which I personally think is a good thing) but he usually plays a good selection of the DJ's that a lot of people have mentioned.

I personally think happy hardcore is dope. after all, its pretty much jungle's twin brother. If your a happy hardcore fiend, you are definitely in the minority but thats not a bad thing at all.

bwahahahhahaha...good one

Seriously, why all the hate towards this song? It's the only trance song I can find that I can actually stand to listen to.

As far as I know, it's because it was ridiculously overplayed and people got really sick of it.

It had a good hook it the beginning...but come on now...it's like the trance version of pop.

I dont think I can even call it trance really

BTW, Ugly, have you given some of the DJs mentioned in the thread a try at least? Heres some trance starters you might like

Iio- At the End
Motorcycle- As The Rush Comes (I think it has entered some pop charts, but not sure)
Tiesto- Traffic
Tiesto- Love Come Again
Groove Coverage- Poison
Erika- Relations

Haha, I get labeled as an indie snob whenever I suggest that mainstream rock is very popish and commercial, and get remarks like "There are plenty of bands that are underground that suck, and you are just another whiny kid trying to act cool by hating what is popular....etc." Now, when it comes to rap and electronic music everyone seems to be in agreement that the mainstream sucks and all of the good sh!t is underground. Wtf?

Oh, and Max this really wasn't meant for you, I just have the feeling that all of the contempt over this song is because it did become popular and everyone and their mother is listening to it.

Not those particular ones, but I started a thread looking for trance about a week or two ago and got some recommendations. I liked the Orbital song Halycon, and Sandstorm, but other than that I wan't too impressed. I'll check these out and see though, always open for suggestions.

Not really the case here, as most of the DJs I mentioned are pretty mainstream to trance listeners, there are some DJs that Ive never heard of...some of who Rage187 mentioned. But I do know what you mean...
