Have you measured the temperature? There's a reason why geothermal heating works. http://www.hotspotenergy.com/heat-recovery-performance/groundwater-temperature-map.php

I always take cool showers. Hot showers are absolutely terrible for your skin. Hot water opens your pores and makes your body lose all the good oils that keep your skin healthy.
To cool off after physical activity? sure
But in general I like to take hot shower in the summer and cold shower in the winter.
Hot shower + Hot = cool once you get out
Cold shower + Cold temps = warm when you get out
I don't like getting out of the shower only to sweat again or be cold.
My cold shower is luke warm. Cheap-ass developers shallow buried the water pipe.Only on internet a fun casual thread about a cold shower degenerates into 'my cold shower is colder than yours' contest and invoking of a US geo-study map of the ground water temp.
I generally take cool/cold showers the entire year.
I don't understand this logic.
Hot shower + hot = I'm already sweating by the time I dry off. And my body is hot and I'll be drenched in sweat again in a given same room temp vs taking a cold shower.
Cold shower + cold = Miserable.
Eye for an eye thing doesn't work here.

I'm not sure I agree with this specific application at the extreme ends, but the logic is sound. Staying close to a normal temperature evens out the perceived extremes. Sitting in AC, then going out to 100F weather makes it feel much worse than if you weren't in AC. The reverse is also true in cold weather.

Except human body's comfort isn't relative.
Hey, I was just pointing out that you're a wuss to consider your water cold.Only on internet a fun casual thread about a cold shower degenerates into 'my cold shower is colder than yours' contest and invoking of a US geo-study map of the ground water temp.
After a hot FL lawn mow I'll start lukewarm (so shampoo with lather) than rinse with cold.

But not as big of a pansy as this guy! Cold water doesn't even exist in Florida. Perhaps he's just referring to the label on the valve though. But it explains one thing - how us northerners can be out in the surf of the ocean, comfortably swimming at the beaches in Florida in January, while the locals are walking by wearing sweaters and jackets (and muttering, "snowbirds").
Not a fan of mixing taps. I like having hot and cold separate. Makes it easier to customize the pressure and temperature, with the small downside of being more fiddly until you learn the nuances of the particular tap.
fuck no
i took cold showers once, when our furnace broke. was like showering with the hose. which sucked in October and November
hot all year round
if im really hot i may take a warm shower but its never cold
