I had them but I didn't have any use for them.

Also my 6800gs pcie sucks and I'm too poor to get a better one.

Donations, anyone?

I'm running a laptop (15" 1280x800). When I'm juggling school and an anime or movie I'll dual screen and put the movie on a 19" 1440x900 LCD I have or vice versa. Having two monitors is nice once in a while but in a dorm I hardly have the room to invest in too much real estate (reason I'm looking into an ExpressCard tuner card rather than a TV).

I have a 20" widescreen. It works ok. I'll probably go dual display sometime in the next year though.

22 inches is enough for me. I spend enough time around it that I don't need to have lots of stuff open at a time. And I don't do other things while I play games.

I only use my laptop's screen. I could get a monitor to go with it, but I'd rather spend my money on other things.

fail

Fail in what? I only use one desktop monitor at home and work. I don't have the need or space for more.

I'd love to know what hardware you have to run Crysis at playable frame rates with ultra high settings at 1920x1080. My 8800GT sure won't come close. Quad SLI?

Q6600 @ 2.7GHz, EVGA 280GTX SSC, 2 GB RAM. I'm running the HP HQ config because I can't enable ultra quality in WinXP (but it unlocks all the DX10 features). My framerates are in the mid to upper 20s, which is debatable as to playability in a firefight, but it's worth it for the sheer eye candy this game provides at that extreme quality setting. I find myself just sitting on a cliff watching the sunset over the valley in Relic with the fog laying low over the river in the distance... just fantastic. I'm considering getting another 280GTX for SLI, at which point I should be hitting upper 30s with these settings.

so...you have dual screens yet you can't afford and attorney. ok. that's 100% believable.

i use a single screen. while dual screens is nice and fun, i don't have the money or the use for it.

Only if you've got something to the side.

Umm yeah I've seen that shot before and of other crazy setups like it. If I had the money I would rather invest it in a better video card to play games at a better frame rate on my 30"er. Adding more screens would just add that much more stress on the video card. What kind of crazy card setup do you need to run something like that anyway?

I was researching 24" monitors when I stumled onto a post about the 37" Westy. I read both of the 100+ page long threads about it at hard forum and AVS forum. I bought one used on Craig's List for $650.00. Now when I look at a 24" monitor they look tiny to me, and tiny is not an exageration. I don't think I would be any happier with 2 tiny monitors than I would with one now that I know the majestic glory of the 37" Westinghouse. My screen is big enough to watch a movie, surf the net, and monitor my utorrent downloads all at the same time. It is perfect.
