I tried it once, I did think it was faster than Firefox, But I just don't trust Google. Yeah the NSA and CSEC probably classifies all my browsing anyway but I don't need Google doing it too. Also not a fan of the cloud stuff. I want my preferences and bookmarks stored locally, where I can back it up myself.

I find Firefox has been going downhill but still remains the best browser IMO.

Chrome doesn't force you to do any of that stuff. Just don't login, and it can't sync anything or associate it with your Google account.

damn you for making me think about it. I just signed out but I'll still use it. It's too fast for me not to. The syncing helped since I browse with it on my Android phone too.

I have it installed but it would be my third choice. I generally use Opera, and then IE for the occasional site that doesn't like my customized Opera.

I don't really like any of the webkit browsers. Midori's alright considering its weight, but I'll take gecko every time. I also liked the the old Opera, but didn't use it cause it's proprietary. I don't have to worry about missing out there anymore...

I used to use Firefox until it started locking up, which for me usually happens about 8 months after install....then I would switch to Chrome until I re-installed Windows....then start the cycle over.

I've used both. Honestly the internet is fast enough on either browser, so it's just down to preference. I've always used Firefox, so that's what I use now. Although I do have Chrome installed on this system as well.

Only use chrome. Nice and clean. I used to use Firefox, then went to ie for the longest time (why? Idk, never got around to installing I guess. Was young.) then I was pc-less for over a year, then used ie for 3-4 months, then chrome for past 2-3 years.

That's just one web site. But since they publish their stats monthly, you can see how usage evolves.

I keep hearing that Firefox and Pale Moon have speed improvements that make them close in speed to Chrome, but when I run rendering speed tests, they're still significantly slower for sites that I visit. Thus, I still use a Chromium variant that doesn't send data to Google.
