Eh, I still don't think it's that good of a show. For me, the issue is that a show is really the sum of all of its parts (including episodes), and Charlotte has felt a bit wishy-washy with its purpose. The series sort of floundered around a bit in the beginning by spending a while introducing characters that don't really matter. For example, Yusarin is a complete waste of time in the show. Her only point is to fuel all the overused fanboy jokes. The show finally drops a bombshell on you, and then attempts to use some ridiculously browbeating method of saying, "He's going through something big, guys!!" Of course, this is resolved very quickly, and then we're thrust into the main character
.
This series has a problem that's almost the
opposite of Shingeki no Kyojin. In Shingeki no Kyojin, my biggest complaint is the lack of providing interesting details. The story is so sparse, and it keeps you going by dropping some minor tidbit every now and again, but ultimately, very little occurs over time. In short, the pacing sucks. Charlotte has the same problem, but its pacing is the exact opposite: it's too fast at times. It feels like these story elements are tacked on because someone realized, "Oh crap! Our series is ending soon and we have no resolution!"
